Cheers echoed throughout the arena and people got out of their seats, but no one made a move to enter the ring. Azazel could tell that some of the members in the crowd were shifters and supernaturals, but it seemed they were too scared to fight with Uriel, even with the draw of one million dollars.

Azazel looked at Uriel once more, seeing that he had a second opportunity to not only spar with the other man like in the past, but he could change the course of their future.

“I’ll spar with you,” Azazel shouted, and the room went silent as eyes turned to him.

Azazel ignored it all and stepped forward, unbuttoning his shirt. Once he got to the entrance of the cage, he shrugged it off, letting it fall to the floor. Not waiting for someone to unlock the chains, Azazel pulled on the lock, breaking it into pieces, and entered, walking to the center of the ring facing Uriel. Azazel raised his hand and magically silenced the crowd, freezing their movements.

“I won’t even ask how you found out I was here, so let's just get to it," Uriel sneered.

“Not so fast,” Azazel said. “I want to add a few changes to this deal.”

“I’m not interested in another one of your deals. Look where the first one got me.”

“Well, too fucking bad,” Azazel growled. “I’ve been chasing after you for over thirty years, and that shit ends tonight. Since I know I’m going to win, instead of one million dollars, you will answer all of my questions. And after tonight, we will officially become mates. No more of this cat-and-mouse bullshit.”

“No,” Uriel said.

“This isn’t a negotiation, Uriel,” Azazel said. “Tell me right now that you don’t love me anymore and I will walk away, but know this, I will not walk away from my sons.”

“And what if I win?” Uriel asked after a moment.

“I will give you anything you want.” Azazel chuckled. “Or is that what you want me to say? If you win, you will allow me to fix what I broke.”

“This whole thing benefits you in every way!”

Azazel smirked. “You haven’t said it yet, Uri.”

“Fuck you,” Uriel growled.

“I’ll fuck you later,” Azazel smiled. “Now let’s give the people what they paid for. Oh, and let’s go full power. I get that you need to tone it down for others, but not me.”

Uriel glared at him, and Azazel could see his mind working, and not on how to get out of the fight but how to beat him.

“Fine,” Uriel said, backing away and taking off his shirt. “But don’t think I’ll go easy on you.”

“Oh, baby, I’m counting on it.”

Azazel waved his hand and brought the liveliness back into the arena and released his powers, but not his wings. They were going to go all out, but he didn’t need to go too far. He could feel Uriel doing the same thing and wasn’t surprised when Uriel made the first move.

Azazel dodged, leaning back from the kick that was aimed at his face. Uriel might've been a couple of heads shorter than him, but the man was known for his high and lethal kicks.

Not bothered by missing his target, Uriel flipped back, and that time his kick connected, hitting Azazel in the chin, sending him back. Azazel balanced himself, watching as Uriel landed on his feet like an agile cat.

“Your fighting style has improved,” Azazel said.

“My dude, why can't you just shut up and fight,” Uriel said.

“Still not the talkative type.” Azazel chuckled. “That’s fine. I can do the talking for both of us.”

Making his first move, Azazel punched Uriel in the stomach, a little payback for earlier. Before Uriel could double over, Azazel grabbed him by the neck and brought them face to face. Azazel stared into Uriel’s eyes, and for a second, he almost got lost in the moment, leaving himself open and almost getting kneed in the crotch.

“Dammit, Uriel, I’m going t need that to fuck you later,” Azazel growled.

“You will never fuck me again, not after you fucked Gadriel!”

Uriel head-butted Azazel in the chin, causing him to let the other man go. Azazel touched his chin, moving his jaw back and forth. It hurt a bit, but the pain was nothing compared to Uriel’s words.

“What? When the hell did I fuck Gadriel? Who the hell put such lies in your head?”
