“Don’t begrudge her a little fun. It seems to make her happy. I say, why not encourage her?”
“So true,” Kayne said. “So, are we going to cut the small talk and get down to business?”
Azazel smirked, appreciating the man in front of him. “Straight to the point, I like that. Have a seat. Can I get you anything to drink?”
“No, thank you. I have another meeting after this,” he said as he took a seat.
“Very well.” Azazel unbuttoned his jacket and sat at his desk. “I understand your mate is your partner.”
“Yes, we also have another partner as well, but he enjoys working in the field rather than being shackled to a desk. It makes him feel imprisoned.”
“Who doesn’t hate desk work? Anyway, I want to extend the contract Valleywood Studios has with your company. We’ll increase the fee, but in exchange, your company will have to provide bodyguard services for all of our events, as well as an increase on the number of stunt doubles.”
“That can be done.” Kayne nodded. “How much of an increase in the fee are we talking?”
“A twenty percent increase.” Azazel watched as the man’s eyes widened. “However, the increase does come with a catch.”
“I’m listening.”
“I want a complete upgrade of our cyber security. The previous owner was lax in making sure the system was not hacked, and I can’t tell you half the shit that got stolen from us. I want to change that.”
Kayne was silent for a few minutes, then stood, extending a hand. “I’ll have a new contract drawn up and send it to you.”
Azazel stood and shook his hand quickly before releasing it. “Very well.”
Kayne nodded and fixed his jacket. “It was nice to meet you, Azazel King.”
“You too, Kayne. Send your mother my love, and I hope the next time we meet I will be able to meet your mate and other partner.”
Kayne smiled but said nothing else, then left Azazel’s office. Azazel sat down and shook his head. Although they were business associates, he got the feeling that Kayne Vale did not like him, and Azazel couldn’t fathom why, since this was their first meeting. Throwing the thought to the back of his mind, Azazel focused on work.
CHAPTER EIGHT
Uriel sighed and backedaway from Synder’s arms and leaned against the opposite counter. “Sorry.”
“For what?” Synder asked.
“For, you know.” He waved his hands around, trying not to say the words. He had quickly explained to his friend about bumping into both Azazel and Dagon within a one-hour time span.
“You have nothing to be sorry for. We knew you’d see them eventually. We just didn’t assume it would be on the same day. So what if you’re feeling emotional?”
“More like horny, angry, and disgusted,” Uriel said.
“Did Azazel look that good?”
“So good, I wanted to drop to my knees and suck him off.” Synder barked out a laugh and Uriel couldn’t help but chuckle.
“You know, if you want to get revenge on Azazel for cheating on you, I think you have the perfect opportunity.”
Uriel’s interest was piqued. “What do you mean?”
“Did he recognize you?”
“Not that I can tell.”
Synder smirked, and he looked downright evil. “You said that he’s heavily involved in the new project Blue is starring in, right?”
“Yeah.”
