“Are you sure?” Azazel asked.
“Yeah, let him keep his throne. Just like you I’m powerful enough and anyway, I’m not interested in being a leader of a bunch of disloyal angels. Besides, eventually the kingdom will be handed down to Kristoph and if I know our kid, he’ll do a better job than all of us.”
“You’re amazing,” Azazel said and kissed Uriel once again.
Uriel had never thought about taking the throne, because he did not crave power. All he wanted was his family. That was powerful enough.

Three MonthLater
Uriel licked his fingers, sighing in satisfaction while patting his stomach. He’d just enjoyed the best meal known to man.The Travellerwas on a break for two more weeks, and all he’d been doing in the past three days was eating and sleeping. Uriel wasn’t worried and figured his body was simply trying to catch up since he’d been on the go for the past few months. Azazel, on the other hand, became a mother hen, refusing to leave his side.
“You seem pleased with yourself,” Synder said next to him.
They were sitting on the couch, having enjoyed the lunch of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and multiple vegetables, all made by Azazel. Uriel nodded and froze when the enticing scent of fresh-baked peach cobbler wafted under his nose.
“I am,” Uriel said finally. “My sons are spending time with each other, I have the family I always wanted, and a mate who can’t help himself when it comes to pampering me.”
The bond between Kristoph and Donald was getting stronger the more time they spent together. Whenever he wasn’t shooting, in school, or at a basketball game, Kristoph was Vale Valley hanging out with his brother. Uriel and Donald were still working on their relationship but he wasn’t going to complain; things were far better than it was months ago.
Synder smiled. “I know what you mean. Kayne and Azazel are so much alike it’s crazy. I hope Orion finds someone as good.”
“Me too,” Uriel said. “He’s been so busy, I haven’t seen him in weeks.”
“Yeah, I know he’s been working closely with Loki on finding the hunter guild members that might be hidden in Valleywood.”
“Let’s hope that’s all they're doing,” Uriel said.
“Trust me, those two have no interest in each other. Kayne says they argue worse than cats and dogs. More like a poisonous viper and scorpion.”
Uriel chuckled, trying to figure out which one was which.
“So, when are you going to tell Azazel?” Synder asked.
“Tell Azazel what?” Uriel said, looking at Synder in confusion.
“You don’t know?”
“Know what? Synder, what the hell are you going on about?”
“Shit, Uri, you can’t be this dense.” Synder sighed and sat up.
“Fuck you, Syn," Uriel growled. “You’re the one asking me stupid-ass questions and you’re calling me dumb.”
“That’s because you don’t pay attention to your body!”
They were both yelling at each other when Kayne and Azazel walked into the living room.
“Hey,” Kayne said. “Why are you two yelling at each other like children?”
“You two are best friends. It’s not good for you to be acting like this. Think of what Kristoph would say.”
“I’m not a child. It’s Synder who is acting like he’s lost his mind,” Uriel said.
“Me! You’re the one who's pregnant and don’t even know it,” Synder said, then huffed.
The entire room went silent, and Uriel wasn’t sure if he heard right.
