“I know, but we should follow him,” Azazel said.

“What? Why? What if he’s leading us into a trap?”

“What if he’s not? Baby, we knew coming here would be taking a big risk. And honestly, I’m interested in what my father wants to talk to me about.”

Uriel narrowed his eyes at Azazel, who hadn’t taken his eyes away from the direction Bezaliel went. “And that’s all you’re interested in?”

Azazel looked at him instantly. “Are you jealous?”

“Do you want to keep your dick, Azazel?” Uriel growled and watched as his lover’s Adam’s apple bobbed up and down when he swallowed, then grinned as if he had accomplished something magnificent.

“I love it when you’re possessive.” He leaned down and kissed Uriel. “Let’s get this over with so we can go home and I can fuck you until you’re breathless.”

Uriel smiled, and before he could respond, Bezaliel spoke. “If you two don’t hurry up, I will kill you both myself.”

Azazel quirked a brow. “Who is he?”

“That’s Bezaliel, he’s one of Dio’s watchers,” Uriel answered.

“I can’t believe he still keeps those around,” Azazel scoffed and took Uriel’s hand. “Let’s go see what the old man wants.”

“Wait,” Bezaliel said, before they could take another step. “Shit, we have to hide.”

“What’s wrong?” Uriel asked.

“Can’t you hear the footsteps?” Bezaliel snapped.

Uriel calmed down and opened up his mind and heard marching footsteps heading their way.

“We need to get to Dio's room,” Uriel ordered.

“It’s too late,” Bezaliel said. “They are too close. We have to hide.”

“I’m not hiding from shit,” Azazel said. “I came here to confront Micha, and that’s what I’m going to do. Go back and get Dio away from here.” Azazel rattled off the location to his penthouse, then looked at Uriel.

“Don’t even dare ask me to leave, I’m staying right here.” Uriel looked at Bezaliel. “Go, we’ll find a way to get the poison out of Dio’s body once this is over.”

Bezaliel looked at them and nodded. “Don’t die. I don’t think Dio would be able to live with himself if something happens to either of you.” He disappeared just as Micha and what looked like the entire league of angels showed up, as if they were going into a battle.

“Your father is a contradiction,” Uriel said.

“We’ll figure him out later. Let’s deal with this.”

“Okay.” Uriel pulled out his sword, ready for a fight.

“Well, this is a shocker,” Micha said. “I didn’t expect to see Dio’s two prodigal sons come home. Are you here to repent?”

“Shouldn’t that be you?” Azazel said.

“So, do I say thank you for getting Blue Lennox to the hospital?” Uriel asked. “Or are you expecting me to drop to my knees and worship you as thanks?”

“I would appreciate the worship, but it wouldn't be right of me to take someone else’s gratitude, don’t you think?” Micha mocked.

Uriel rolled his eyes. “Now you suddenly care about right and wrong?”

“I see you’re still angry for what I allowed Gadriel to do to you, but you have to understand, it was for your own benefit. I wanted you to hate Azazel so that you could be mine! I’ve been in love with you since we were children.”

Anger bubbled up inside of Uriel. All of his torment and pain was because a man couldn’t take rejection or he didn’t like to be ignored.
