Page 95 of His Time to Love

Alistaire grunted, feeling jealousy spark inside of him. On Thanksgiving Day, he’d heard the last half of the conversation between Crevan and the good-looking guy. Alistaire didn’t like how they were standing so close together, nor did he like how the guy flirted with him. Taking long determined strides, he walked through the foyer and pulled the front door open with purpose. They were so into their whispered conversation they hadn’t heard him open the door.

“Crevan,” Alistaire said, putting more bass in his voice. Both men jumped apart, turning to look at him. His lover smiled brightly at him, taking away some of his jealousy.

“Hey, you and Dilen all done with your conversation?”

“Come inside. You’re not wearing a coat,” Alistaire snapped.

“All right.” Crevan grabbed the good-looking guy’s hand and pulled him inside.

“Are you sure about this? I mean…”

“You’re my friend. Why wouldn’t it be okay?”

“I don’t know why I ask. You always do whatever you want anyway,” the good looking guy smiled.

Why does he look familiar?

They both stepped inside, and before Alistaire could say a word, Dilen spoke up.

“Fox, who’s your friend.” He reached forward and picked up the guy’s hand and kissed the back of it. “Dilen Ross. What’s your name, gorgeous.”

The good-looking guy’s eyes widened as he turned to Crevan. “What’s he doing?”

“Flirting, I think.” Crevan shrugged his shoulder.

“Well, make him stop,” the guy said, face contorted in confusion.

“Maybe if you tell him your name, he will,” Alistaire said, hoping Dilen could keep the guy distracted and away from Crevan.

“It’s…it’s Nafri…Nafri Boroson.”

“Nafri, what a beautiful name to go with a beautiful man.” Nafri pulled his hand away to Dilen's disappointment.

“Oh gods,” Crevan groaned in embarrassment for Dilen.

“So, you’re related to Odin?” Alistaire asked.

“Yes, he’s my grandfather. And if I’m not mistaken, you also met my father. Loki…Loki Boroson.”

“Well, now it all makes sense,” Alistaire said. “Are you here to ask about the job?”

“Hell no, I don’t care what my father is up to,” Nafri said offhandedly. “I just came by to check on Fox since we haven’t seen each other in a while.”

“I’m glad you’re here,” Crevan said, pulling Nafri into a one-arm hug. “And you have to stay for dinner.”

Nafri smiled, turning to look at Crevan. “If that’s what you want.”

“It is.”

They stared at each other for far too long in Alistaire’s opinion. He walked over and separated the two by standing between them.

“Then how about we all go into the family room and join the rest of the family?”

“Yes, let’s,” Dilen said, taking Nafri’s hand and pulled him out of the foyer.

Alistaire held onto Crevan while he watched Nafri and Dilen walk away.

“How do you know that guy?”
