Page 75 of His Time to Love

“So we’re alone?”

“Not exactly,” Fox said, stepping back loving the look of lust in Alistaire’s eyes.

Alistaire stepped inside the house, kicking the door closed. He grabbed Fox by his waist, pushing him up against the wall, pressing their foreheads together.

“I don’t think our chaperone will be a problem, do you?”

Fox licked his lips, panting, and shaking his head as he looked up at the handsome captain. They hadn’t seen each other since their date night, and Fox was in dire need to be in the man’s arms.

Fox didn’t mind the time he’d spent with his family. He’d apologized for keeping his condition and secrets—promising to keep them updated on what was happening with his health. Aria and Barret weren’t angry, but they were disappointed he’d kept his condition from them for so long. Their talk made him realize he had a wonderful family, and he couldn’t take their love for granted.

“You know, Captain Vale. The last time you had me in this position, you accused me of being someone else.”

“Did I?” Alistaire quirked a brow.

“You did.”

Alistaire leaned in so close to Fox their lips almost touched. He sandwiched one of his thighs between Fox’s legs. “You didn’t let me finish my statement.”

“Oh, really?” Fox moaned, grinding against Alistaire’s leg. “Then how about you do that now.”

Alistaire’s hands found their way under Fox’s shirt, making him shiver from his cold hands.

“That day I kept thinking...what right do you have to take my breath away.”

“Is that supposed to make me shiver and weak in the knees, Captain Vale?”

Alistaire slid his hands down in the gap of his jeans, grasping and kneading his ass. “It didn't?”

“Not even a quiver,” Fox gasped when Alistaire’s finger brushed against his hole.

“Then let me try something else.”

Alistaire went to kneel, but Fox stopped him. “How about you show me later? I spent a lot of time making dinner, and I don’t want it to go to waste.”

“Are you trying to seduce me?”

“Only if it’s working.”

“What did you make for dinner?”

“How about I show you rather than tell you,” Fox grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the dining room where he had it set for two. “You sit right here, and I’ll go get our dinner.”

He guided Alistaire to his seat then rushed off to the kitchen to get their plates. For dinner, he had made chicken Alouette and mixed green salad. For dessert, spiced red wine poached pears with a vanilla mascarpone whipped cream topping. Fox got their dishes and walked back into the dining room but stopped for a second when he saw Alistaire holding Genesis in his arms. He couldn’t get enough of watching them together.

“Is she okay?” He walked over to the dining room table, setting their plates down.

“Yeah,” Alistaire answered, kissing Genesis on her forehead. “I think she woke up missing some hugs.”

Fox sat down beside Alistaire, running a knuckle gently down Genesis’s cheeks. “I know how good your hugs feel.” She’d fallen back to sleep on Alistaire’s chest. “Do you want me to put her down?”

Alistaire looked at Genesis then shook his head. “I’ll hold her a bit longer if that’s okay.”

Fox smiled. “That’s perfectly fine. If you’re going to be a part of our lives, you need to bond with her also.”

Alistaire leaned over and kissed Fox on the mole on his upper lip. “Thanks.”
