“Sexy,” Alistaire said, leaning down and capturing his mouth in a soul-searing kiss.

Fox forgot about his embarrassment and focused on the way his lover was making him feel. Their hard cocks rubbed against each other, building friction between them. Fox wrapped his legs around Alistaire’s waist and dug his nails in his mate’s flesh. Alistaire reached between them and grabbed their cocks—jerking them off. He could feel his orgasm building quicker than he expected. Alistaire pressed their foreheads together as they looked into each other’s eyes intently. The gold threads wound around them grew brighter, and Fox could feel them spreading throughout the room.

“Baby. Alistaire.” He groaned. “I can’t hold on for too much longer.”

“Me too, baby.”

Their breaths mingled together, and he could feel his orgasm barring through him.

The lust and desire that had been building and burning inside of him for the past weeks burst out of him.

“Alistaire!” Fox cried out, spurting cum between them and on Alistaire’s hand.

“Fox,” Alistaire moaned as he came soon after Fox.

They moaned, and their lips found each other as the passion continued to burn throughout them.

“Tell me we’re not done,” Fox said against Alistaire’s lips.

“Oh baby, we’re far from being done. We’re just beginning.”

“Then have your way with me.”

“With pleasure.”

For the rest of the night, they made love until after the moon turned back to its usual milky-white solidifying their bond and love for each other.

Epilogue

Alistaire stood at the podium in the large auditorium addressing the new recruits to the Valleywood Police Department. The building was called Station One since it was where Alistaire’s office was.

He’d accepted the job as police commissioner, adding a few stipulations to their contract. The main one was he’d investigate anyone who broke the law—even if it were the mayor.

Boroson was a bit hesitant to accept his stipulation but had agreed to it in the end. Alistaire had already started making changes within the departments, starting with revamping the training and how his men communicated with the community. Alistaire knew his job would come with challenges, but he was up for it.

Alistaire and Fox’s relationship had improved in the last four months since they’d gotten back together. They’d had long talks about everything that happened between them. And promised to make sure the communication between them stayed open and honest.

Alistaire had told Fox about how he’d killed Euan Gillies the night of their fight. Fox had found out Euan Gillies was Mister James and had been the one to send him the case of wine they never planned on drinking,—even if they were safe.

He and Ava had moved into Fox’s house and had started to expand on the house to accommodate both of their styles. Alistaire had gotten all of his collection out of storage, setting up his heirlooms in the spare room until the house’s expansion was complete.

Ava had started Valleywood High, and from the look of it, she loved it. Her grades were exceptional, and she volunteered at the hospital three times a week. He was quite proud of her.

He and Fox were thinking of adopting her, but he didn’t want to rush things with the teenager. She was still mourning the loss of her father, and he always wanted her to feel secure in their family. After all, it was what he’d promised her.

Genesis was also getting big and loved being held by her big sister. Alistaire couldn’t express how much he loved the little girl. She was the light of their family, and he enjoyed watching her learn about the world around her. Alistaire had made a promise he would protect both girls from harm as much as he could without sheltering them because they were his children and no one else’s.

Alistaire stepped down off the podium after he’d finished his speech, receiving a standing ovation.

Dilen walked over and stood beside him and helped with the completion of the ceremony. Alistaire had done a good thing when he’d offered the job to Dilen. He was resourceful and knew how to handle the pressure.

Looking out in the crowd, he smiled when he saw his family mingling with some of the recruits. He knew some of the men who worked under him had a crush on his mate, but he was sure they wouldn’t cross the line. He frowned when he saw Loki Boroson moving over to Fox. Alistaire knew they were family, but he didn’t like nor trust the Valleywood mayor being so close to his mate.

Especially after learning Loki was the god of tricks.

“Hey, finish up here,” Alistaire said to Dilen.

Dilen looked out into the crowd and smiled. “I’ll keep the girls tonight if you need me to.”
