Kingston sighed heavily. “Make up your damn mind, change, don’t change. What the hell, Scott?”
“Come on, let’s go back to our guys before they start to worry.”
“Not my guy!”
Scott would have chuckled, but his cousin looked ill as if he was trying to believe the words he was spewing.
“Yeah, I don’t believe you,” Scott said with a snort.
“Whatever, I hope you’re going home to screw your kitty, because I want to eat my dinner in peace.”
“Does the thought of me getting laid actually help you with your appetite?” Scott loved getting on his cousin’s nerves just as Kingston loved getting on his. They were ten years apart in age, but Scott was closer to Fenrir and Kingston than he was to his older brother Roman. Between Fenrir and Kingston, he was never bored when it came to family gatherings. “Maybe I should have my assistant book you for a session. You’re really starting to worry me.”
“Fuck off and go home,” Kingston growled, and it made Scott laugh at his cousin’s frustration.
Sometimes it’s just too easy.
Chapter Nineteen
“You ruined my pie,” Quintus said, taking a bite of the fresh peach pie his mom had made for him.
They were in bed naked with Quintus straddling Scott’s legs, who was propped up by the pillows. He was happy that his pie was still a bit warm. The second they’d gotten to Scott’s, the vampire had slammed him up against the nearest wall and showed Quintus just how much he’d missed him.
“Is it my fault you’re so sexy? I had to have you as soon as I got you alone.” Scott took the fork from his hand and took a bit of his pie. “Hm…this is good.”
“Damn right it is. My Mama is the best baker in town.”
“You think she’ll make our wedding cake?”
“Are you asking me to marry you?” Quintus asked, quirking a brow.
“Maybe, I am. What would be your answer?”
“Of course, I’ll marry you. But I want a better proposal. I want romance,” Quintus told his mate.
“You want romance?”
“Yes.” Quintus smiled. “I want the whole shebang,”
“All right, I’ll work on it,” he said, taking another bite of pie.
“Just like that?” Quintus asked.
“Yes, I want to make my kitty happy so anything he wants, he gets.”
“You spoil me.” Quintus leaned forward and kissed his mate on his lips.
“You deserve to be spoiled.”
“You know the way to my heart, don’t you?”
“I’m trying,” Scott answered.
“So, you’re related to Katarina?” Quintus asked, leaning back from their kiss.
“Yeah,” Scott answered, licking his lips.
“How come you never mentioned it?”
