“Yes,” Quintus hissed. “And…” He lost all train of thought when Scott scraped his nails over his other nipple.
“And what, baby?”
“Toys,” Quintus breathed out. “You can ta…oh fuck, Scott. How can I concentrate with you doing that?”
“What am I doing?” the vampire asked, looking up at him as he reached down and grasped Quintus’s cock.
“Dammit, you’re a sneaky bastard,” Quintus said before connecting their lips. Their kiss was playful but filled with a heat that had Quintus hoping for more between them. Scott slowly pushed him down on the couch. Laying on top of Quintus, he trailed his lips down to his neck then back up to his lips, kissing the hell out of him.
“I’ll think about it,” Scott said against his lips.
“Think about what?” Quintus asked, opening his eyes, already forgetting what they were talking about. Scott smirked. “Did you do some vampire voodoo on me?”
Scott started laughing, and Quintus couldn’t figure out what the hell he’d said that was so funny when he was being serious.
“You adorable, kitty.” Scott took his lips in another kiss, stopping anything else he was going to say.
Sneaky bastard.

Scott walked into his office, noticing Marlow wasn’t at his desk. He looked at his watch and noticed it was the time that he usually showed up at the office. He’d hated separating from Quintus that morning. Their two weeks together hadn’t been enough for him. He made a promise to himself to plan a special trip for him and Quintus.
“Boss, you’re back.”
He turned, seeing Marlow walk in and close the door.
“Yeah, and you’re late,” he said, but he wasn’t angry.
“I’m not late. I went to get some coffee for the office.” Marlow walked closer to him and peered into his face. “We ran out of coffee yesterday, and I forgot to pick some up on the way home.”
“What the hell are you looking at?”
“Why are you glowing? Did you and whoever you were with just fuck for the past two weeks?”
“Marlow, seriously. I need you to back the fuck up, and that’s none of your business.”
“You found your mate,” he said, ignoring Scott and throwinghis arms around him. “I’m so happy for you. I’ve been waiting for this. Tell me who it is. Do I know him? Is he from Vale Valley?”
Marlow was being annoying, but he couldn’t hide that it felt good his friend and assistant was happy for him. “Are you going to shut up and let me answer your questions?”
“Am I interrupting something?” Both he and Marlow turned to see Lucas, or Loki, standing at the door.
“Mister Brooks, it’s so good to see you again.”
Marlow stepped away from Scott and walked over to his uncle. Scott wanted to stop Marlow and keep anyone he cared about far away from the man, but then he’d have to explain his reasons. Scott wished he could trust Loki. He was family after all. But everything in him kept screaming that Loki was up to something and he wasn’t sure what.
“And you as well, Marlow,” he said with a smile that Scott wanted to punch off his face. “How are you, Doctor Shelton? Did you enjoy your vacation?”
“Yes, do you mind waiting in my office,” Scott said. Loki didn’t seem pleased by his answer but also didn’t argue with him. Scott waited for him and Marlow to be alone before he spoke. “Can you get me a cellphone?”
Marlow gasped and clutched his nonexistent pearls, his lips trembled as if he was about to cry. “Oh, my gods. I can’t wait to meet this man. He’s already changed you for the better.”
“Oh, for fuck sake,” Scott cursed. “It’s only a damn phone. Stop being so melodramatic.”
“Whatever. Leave me alone. I’m just happy,” Marlow said, sighing wistfully.
“Over me getting a phone?” Scott asked in confusion.
