“I like it as well. It might sound silly, but the windows and the fact it’s by the lake is what drew me to the place. That’s why I want to keep the stained-glass windows.”
“I agree the windows bring a certain elegance to the house, even in the state it’s in.” Quintus took out his cellphone and snapped a few pictures before tucking it back into his pocket. “So, let me hear your ideas. I’ll share mine, then we can see if they mesh together. I can already guess you want to remodel and update everything starting with the kitchen to the dining room.”
“You would be correct, but let’s not get too high tech. I should tell you I hate technology.”
“Is this a vampire thing or a Scott thing?”
“A Scott thing,” he said with a chuckle.
“Got it. Let me know about colors too, that way I can have Miya and Ariana get in touch with you. They deal with the interior decorating aspect of the business.”
“I had no idea it was a family thing. I thought Gabe had simply turned the business over to you so he could stick by your mom’s side all day.”
“They are so in love it’s sickening.” Quintus smiled. “It wasn’t like that before, but they showed an interest in interior architecture and decorating. Gabe encouraged their talent and hired them for a couple of jobs. Once word got around, we expanded. Gabe had offered to change the name to Wolfe Construction and Interior Designs, but the girls were against it and simply asked for their own office space.”
“You come from a good family,” Scott told him. It was nothing like his family. Although he was close to his parents and siblings, there was still in-fighting on both gods and vampire side.
“Thank you. I love them and would do anything for them.”
“I can see that,” Scott said, staring at the handsome young man.
“All right, enough about my family and me. Let’s get back to why I’m here.”
“Okay. On the first floor, I want to turn one of the rooms into my home office. Then knock out the two bedrooms that are next to the master bedroom, add a sitting room, and enlarge the bathroom.”
“Sounds doable, what about the other rooms?”
“The other bedrooms will be for guests. I have family members that like to show up unannounced, so I need to have room for them to stay. I’d like to have those updated.”
“That sounds easy enough. What about the second floor?”
“I want the entire floor to be converted into my playroom.”
“Are you planning on putting a bowling alley up there? There’s a lot of room. But I’m not sure that would work,” Quintus said.
“Not game room, kitty. The kind of games I want to play are for adults only.” He stepped closer to Quintus, placing a finger under his chin and lifted his face up to meet his gaze. “The kind where I like to tie my partners up and spank their sweet, little ass red, just because I want to. The kind of games where I use my submissive’s mouth and body for my pleasure only, and not letting him cum until I tell him to. The kind where I tease and taunt his body while his sweet begging only makes me want to fuck him, leaving my marks on every part of his body any way I can. I want everyone to know he is cared for and belongs to me.”
If only Quintus could see his eyes. They are sparkling with lust and interest. His scent told Scott how aroused he was getting, just hearing what he liked doing to a partner.
“Do you want to play my kind of games, kitty?”
Scott liked seeing this side of Quintus. He realized he’d thrown the man off, even though he had promised he wouldn’t tease him again. But Scott couldn’t help it. There was something about the other man that made him want to do things to Quintus he’d never done with other submissives.
That’s it! Quintus was a submissive. It was the only thing Scott could think of as to why he enjoyed teasing the man.
“Your name,” Quintus said, confusing Scott.
“What?” Scott asked.
“Your name,” Quintus said, not looking away from him. “It’s different from what I know you as.”
“My name is not important right now.”
“It’s not?” Quintus asked. His voice barely a whisper
“No.”
Scott leaned in to connect their lips but stopped when Quintus’s cellphone rang. He was going to ignore it but couldn’t do it, since the person wasn’t calling him.
