“That’s good to know.” Quintus smiled and looked around, watching as Wolfe Construction dominated much of the Vale Valley Lake beach with their family and friends.

Quintus was happy he could give his employee’s a day where their only job was to have fun. The sun was starting to go down, and he was grateful it had been a beautiful day. His life had changed so much since he’d moved to Vale Valley, he couldn’t believe it. He rested a hand on his stomach. It was still flat, but he couldn’t wait to feel his cub or cubs move inside of him.

“I knew I did the right thing turning my company over to you. You make me proud, Quinny.”

Quintus felt pride swell inside of him hearing those words coming from Gabriel. “Thank you, Gabe.”

“It’s good to see you smiling and living life, as well,” Gabriel told him. “I was worried you were going to work yourself to death and not have some fun in life. I’m not ashamed to admit this, but you are doing a better job than I could have ever done. You are the backbone of this company and our family. I am very proud of you, Quintus. And I’m proud to call you son.”

Quintus took in a shaky breath, not realizing he was holding back tears. “Thank you for saying that, Dad.”

“Boy, you know how to fill an old man’s heart with joy,” Gabriel said, pulling him into a tight hug.

“Be good to yourself, Quinny. I can’t wait to see what else you have in store for the future.”

“Can I cut in?”

They both separated when they heard Scott’s voice.

“Yes, as a matter of fact, you can, I see a pretty lady across the way who is looking a bit lonely.” Gabriel patted Scott on his shoulder and walked away from them.

Scott extended a hand. “Take a walk with me?”

“Okay,” he said, taking his hand.

They started walking towards the beach, and Quintus took off his shoes and rolled up his pant legs before they stepped on the sand. Scott wrapped an arm over his shoulders as they walked along the beach in sweet silence.

“Everyone seems to be having fun,” Scott said after a few minutes.

“Yeah, I’m happy they are. This is actually one of my favorite things to plan during the summer. What do you do for Marlow?”

“Every summer, I give him an all-expense-paid trip to wherever he wants for two weeks.”

“That has to be fun.” Quintus rested his head on Scott’s shoulder as they continued to walk.

“So, I was wondering something?”

“What?”

They stopped, and Scott stepped in front of him. He dropped to one knee and looked up at him. “Quintus Wolfe, for the past few months, you have been a bright light in my life. You’ve repaired my heart, making me see and experience life in ways I never had before. I love you, and I not only want to spend my life with you—I want eternity, in this life and beyond.”

Quintus felt tears running down his cheeks and watched as Scott reached behind him and pulled out a jewelry box resembling theone that had been on his table that morning months ago. He sighed, his submissive contract.

“I know this isn’t a traditional ring, but I’ve never been a traditional type of guy.”

They both smiled. Scott opened the box, and Quintus gasped when he saw the slender, silver collar with the infinity symbol design going around it—a blue sapphire diamond set in the middle.

“Will you do me the honor of not only becoming my husband, but also my friend, my submissive, and my eternity?”

Quintus went to his knees and kissed Scott as if his entire being depended on it.

“Do I take that as a ‘yes?’” Scott asked, smiling when they separated.

“I am and will be your everything, Scottland.”

Scott kissed him again, and he pulled back when he heard the snap of his training collar being unlocked. It was quickly replaced by his permanent collar. They stood, and when Quintus turned around, he saw his and Scott’s family standing there.

“Did they know you were going to do this?”
