“Oh wow, I love ramen,” Edward said getting out of his chair.
Creed had the dishes prepared, and all they had to do was take them to the table. He smiled when there wasn’t any chit chat, but only the sounds of everyone slurping their noodles. According to Roe, that was the sound of a job well done. He didn't care if the real reason was that the noodles were hot and slurping was a way to cool them off. He wasn’t surprised when they all asked for seconds and happily refilled their bowls.
Maybe I should tell them I made dessert too.
“When were you going to tell me that your mother was an alpha?” Creed asked later that night after Karen and Edward had left. He pulled Winter into his arms, resting his hands on his mate’s hips.
“It hadn’t crossed my mind to mention it,” Winter said licking his lips, and Creed’s eyes instantly fell to his mouth.
“I have the feeling she wanted me to know there was an alpha near my mate.”
“Does it really matter if she did?” he asked. Winter leaned in close brushing his lips against Creed’s. Honestly, it didn’t matter. It helped him take the step forward and claim his mate and all he could do was thank Karen for the push.
