Epilogue
“Come on, Sirius, I know you can do this,” Evans’ coached.
“If you don’t shut the fuck up, I’m going to kick you,” Sirius snapped or tried to, but it came out sounding as if he was whining.
“Do I need to strap your legs down?”
“You try doing this while your mate is fucking passed out,” he growled. How the hell, does a man who drinks blood pass out at the sight of it?Was the question Sirius wanted an answer to.
“Someone, please wake Alphonso up and tell him his mate needs him,” Evans’ ordered.
Sirius knew it was going to hurt. No matter the number of drugs he begged for, it didn’t seem to help with the pain. He was sure after this his ass would never be the same again. Alphonso’s moan alerted him that his mate was awake.
“Shit, what happened?” he asked looking confused.
“You fainted, that’s what happened,” Sirius growled.
“Oh shit, I’m sorry,” Alphonso said coming to his side and grabbing his hand. “I don’t know what happened.”
“I don’t care what happened, just please promise me you won’t pass out again,” Sirius said sweetly then narrowed his eyes at his alpha mate. “Because if you faint one more time, I’m going to hex your balls off.”
Alphonso audibly swallowed. “I promise.”
Sirius sighed in relief, understanding that Alphonso was just as nervous and as excited as he was.
“Okay, Sirius,” Evans said getting his attention. “I need you to relax, you’ve walked a lot of people through this. I know you can do it.”
Sirius nodded. Evans was right, he’d helped others through this, and he just needed to think of his training.
“Look at me,” Alphonso said. Sirius snapped his head to look at his lover ready to give him a scathing remark. “From the first time I laid eyes on you I knew you were mine. I felt spellbound and had to hold back from claiming you right then and there. I love you, Sirius.”
How the fuck can I be angry with him when he says things like that?
“I’m right here,” he said placing Sirius’ hand on his chest. “It’s just you and me right now. We are going to bring our little girl into the world together. I know I flaked out on you earlier and you can rub it in my face anytime you want for the rest of our lives. But I’m here now for you.”
“You play dirty, you know that, right?”
“I will do anything I can to make this easy for you.”
“All right, Sirius, I need you to push,” he heard Evans say.
Not taking his eyes off Alphonso and holding onto his hand, Sirius pushed as hard as he could.
“That’s it, baby, you’re doing it,” Alphonso coaxed.
After he pushed a few more times, he heard the sweetest sound ever. His baby girl had finally been born.
“She’s here,” Sirius panted out.
“Yes, she is,’ Alphonso said with a smile on his face. “You make me so happy.” He claimed Sirius’ lips before he could respond.
“You too,” Sirius told him when they separated from their kiss.
“Do you guys have a name for this bundle of joy?” Evans asked as the nurse handed Sirius his daughter. The joy that overtook him left him completely speechless.
“Yes,” he answered not taking his eyes off his sweet girl. “Brigid Loretta Morgan-Vale.”
After getting to know his father, he decided to retake the last name he was born with. Their life settled after everything with Naheem. For a while, Bedwyr felt guilty for Naheem’s actions, but there was nothing he could have done. He’d never encouraged the other witch’s affection. The good thing that came out of it was that he acknowledged his feelings for Nicholas and were acting like teenagers in love.
