“Coffee then?”

“That sound’s great,” Sirius answered.

“Let me guess, black?” Sirius nodded. “And how about you, baby girl?” Alphonso asked.

“Cewial,” she said not raising her head off Sirius’ shoulder.

“All right, why don’t you go and have a seat and I’ll bring them both over to you guys.”

“Do you need any help?” He asked.

“Nah, I got this,” Alphonso said waving him off.

Nodding he went and sat down at one of the empty chairs at the large table.

“So, we have the caterers set along with the menus,” Rosemary said to her son, and Sirius was assuming daughter-in-law.

“Are you sure you want to go with this crazy theme?” LaMarkus asked.

“What’s so crazy about it, dear?” The sheriff’s wife asked. “I think it’s romantic. Everyone will be wearing masks and arriving at the party separately from their mates. The only way to figure out who your mate is would be by their scent.”

“What if someone gets it wrong?” Sirius asked before he could stop himself.

“You can never get it wrong when it comes to your mate,” Rosemary answered. She stared at Sirius and then at Tamia with a smile on her face. “She looks good in your arms.”

“I agree,” the sheriff said turning to him. “We haven’t officially met, I’m LaMarkus Vale, and this beautiful woman beside me is my wife, Katarina.”

“It’s nice to see our little Alphonso mated,” Katarina said.

“I’m not so little, Aunt Kat,” Alphonso said with a chuckle and set a cup of coffee in front of Sirius along with a bowl of cereal for Tamia.

Tamia sat up and started eating and didn’t seem as if she wanted to move from his lap.

“Have you spoken to your fathers?” Katarina asked Alphonso.

“Not yet, Sirius and I want to get a few things established first, like a place to live.”

“Understandable,” Rosemary added. “But you are both welcome to stay here for however long you want.”

“No offense, Nana, but I think Sirius and I need someplace to call our own. Besides, with Grayson about to have his baby I’m sure he and Chance wouldn’t want us hanging around.”

Grayson Vale is pregnant? How the hell did I miss that?

“In any case, my home is your home,” Rosemary told him.

“Hey, anyone home?” Called out a female voice from another part of the mansion.

“In here, Monique,” LaMarkus yelled just as a beautiful female carrying an infant car seat entered the kitchen. LaMarkus was out of his chair taking the car seat from her hands before anyone else.

“The gangs all here, that’s good because Grayson and Chance are on their way home from the airport,” Monique announced.

“I’d forgotten they were coming back today,” Rosemary said.

“Baby Carowina,” Tamia cheered getting out of his lap and ran over to LaMarkus’ side.

Baby, who now?

“And who is this?” Monique asked.
