Sirius backed up and grabbed his shirt off the floor and hurriedly pulled it back on.
“Good, I’m not ready to tell you yet. So why are you here?”
“Because I asked her to bring me here.”
Sirius looked up from butting his shirt, and his gaze landed on a tall, muscular man, with long steel gray air that was braided at the base of his neck and hung over one of his shoulders with a feather tucked between one of the plaits. He wore glasses that tried to hide his bright green eyes. The longer Sirius gazed at the man similar emotion came over him liken to what he had felt a few days earlier when he met Alphonso. But it wasn’t with lust or wanting it was an emotion he couldn’t put into words.
“Who are you?” He asked just as Alphonso spoke.
“Bedwyr, what are you and Nana up to?”
Bedwyr, the coven leader that Nicholas talked about today?
“Nothing nefarious, I can assure you or I hope not anyway,” the coven leader said.
“Sirius, I’m sorry for showing up unannounced,” Rosemary said.
“What can I do for you both?” Sirius asked.
Rosemary looked at Bedwyr who came with her and tilted her head in Sirius’ direction.
“I don’t think this is the right time to do this,” Bedwyr said looking very unsure about why they were there.
“Bedwyr you need to tell him,” Rosemary said. “You can’t let this go on for much longer. He needs to know.”
“Who needs to know what?” Sirius asked becoming very annoyed.
“I wish you two would spit out why the hell you’re here,” Alphonso snapped. “You’re interrupting our night.”
“Yes, I can smell what we interrupted, but for now put your hormones on ice for a few seconds,” Rosemary said to her grandson.
Sirius looked at Bedwyr. “Why are you here? If it’s about the talk, I had with Nic…”
“It has nothing to do with that,” Bedwyr said cutting him off. He stepped closer to Sirius and rested his hands on his shoulders staring at him. “I’ve been looking for you for so long I never thought I’d see you again.”
“Wh…who are you? What were you looking for me?” Sirius stepped back needing space between him and Bedwyr as the feeling dread settled in the pit of his stomach.
“I…I’m…” Bedwyr stuttered. “I knew your mom.”
“How?” Sirius asked.
Bedwyr looked away from Sirius and then back again. Sirius would have gasped at the emotions staring back at him. “She was my mate.”
“Wh…what?” Sirius asked in shock. His mom had a mate?
Why did she lie to me and say that she never found her mate?
