Guards from both the Galactic Alliance and the Kantenans appeared, and the space suddenly filled with humanoids everywhere. Security. Medical. A chaos of females crying and shaking.

Hovercarts appeared in the sky, bringing more Kantenans as well as aid for injuries.

The bright-haired female clutched her arm and rubbed her head.

Another crack echoed and the platform lurched.

Stron skidded to a stop at the bright-haired female.

“You're hurt,” he said.

“Brilliant deduction,” she snarled. That orange-red hair flew around her face like wildfire.

Stron had never seen anyone so beautiful in his life.

His armor started to extend, and he felt the desire he’d felt before with partners, but this was so much more intense than what he was used to.

“What are you staring at,” she snarled at him. “Help me get everyone inside, or get lost.”

She took a few steps away from him, and down she went.

“You require assistance,” he said and grabbed her arm.

“I’m fine. A little bump doesn’t really, uh,” she took a step and her whole body started to sway.

Stron grabbed her, and threw her over his shoulder.

“Temmaka!” she snapped. “What in the stars are you doing?”

“Getting you some help.”

ADRYEL

“You are so going to put me down,” Adryel said, pounding on the Kantenan who had just thrown her over his shoulder like a bag of food.

“You wouldn't be able to stand if I did.”

“I’ll be fine. I have to get back to the others. They need help. There’s?—”

“Are you their leader?” he asked, his pace slowing. He seemed genuinely curious.

Or maybe Kantenans had a weird sense of small talk. Didn't matter. She was being carried over this big dude's shoulder.

Right next to the ridges coming out of his back.

She grabbed onto them and started using the protruding shapes as grips to raise herself back up.

“Do you mind not touching those?”

“Put me down, and I’ll let go.”

He growled.

Her brain started to swim. Which wasn’t helping her attempt to climb up this big guy. “Look, I don't want--”

Others called out to this male because he stopped and spun around. “Give me a moment,” he called back.
