Stron nodded. "Nothing a good drink won't cure when I get back to my residence."

"It has been a day from the Pits of Despair," Khalzin replied.

"At least you found your partner."

Khalzin shrugged as he watched Janae head into the cluster without looking back.

"Not as enticing as you expected?" Stron asked.

"It's not that. We have not had any real time to properly Court yet. I hope to ease her worry about her people so that we may properly move forward."

"And what are you going to do if this doesn't work? You made a commitment. In front of fellow Kantenans."

"I will make it work," he said. "In some fashion or another."

He took in the disorder. "I am stunned that there are not more here attempting to organize."

"According to one of the medics, they had a team scrambling to find residences for all the Galactic Alliance people until they can get a transport here."

"Surely, the Coalition has shut off all incoming and outgoing ships until this has been resolved."

Stron nodded. "They have--"

A scream or cry or burst of noise emanated from across the metal hanger, and the sound bounced off the walls.

All eyes turned to the females. Many females were in the holding area. Whoever had screamed, it was out of pain, for it seemed to come where the medical groups had set up. Some of the others were injured, others were shaken up. Crying could be heard and shrieks from the females. A strange undertone of noise grated on Khalzin.

"What is this?" Khalzin asked. The closer they got, the worse it got.

"Panic. They're all quite panicked over the events. Some are quiet. Some are screaming others are--"

"I demand to speak to--"

Khalzin saw the blonde female who was so rude to Janae before. His armor started to crackle and came out.

"I know. She's a loud one," Stron said. "Roemary, I believe is the name she keeps yelling at everyone."

"She was in the first group that I approached. I don't know how she got to be a part of this. She seems to be out of place, to say the least."

"Her father is a wealthy member of Trinity Alpha Prime's society. That is all I have gathered so far."

Janae went over near her, like she would speak to her, but stopped when Roemary started firing off snarky comments toward her. Another female, who was as adorned as Roemary, approached Janae, and for a moment, they just stood there, staring at each other.

Then they hugged.

Stron continued to give him bits of information about what they had found out so far, but nothing that he hadn't concluded on his own.

That it was an attack.

And that the initial malfunction was intentional. The secondary explosion was as well, but they had yet to determine who would have done this.

Khalzin watched her as he and Stron moved across the hanger, slowly angling toward her as she moved between groups. He noticed that she kept looking around like she was trying to find someone.

"Has everyone been registered and identified?" Khalzin asked.

Stron nodded. "We think we have everyone. Except for the missing."

"How many?"
