Marcin couldn't believe what happened.
He couldn't wait for Gianna to get back to tell her.
They were going home!!
There were Rhimodians on the station, and the three of them found them, while they were bartering with wares to get more supplies for their world.They agreed to take them home to Sol.All of them, including their mates.
Evidently, they were not the only Rhimodians lately who had found female mates and Master System was doing some major restructuring, and as such that was likely why Master System had not re-connected with them.
He was so excited.
Gianna came in and he ran over to her.
"Gianna, are you ready to get out of here?"
She blinked."What?"
"We have transport home.We found some other Rhimodians who are going to bring us back to Sol so we can be with our people and reconnect!"
She smiled and pulled away."That's great.I'm happy for you."
He blinked."You sound the opposite of happy."
"I am so angry right now."
"What did I do?"
"Not at you.Tina.She's!Ugh!"She dropped on the couch.
"What happened?"
"She's leaving.As soon as Re-lee has the portal ready, she's leaving and going back to Earth."
"Why?"
"She thinks she has to.That her family there will just die without her or something.I kept trying to tell her that it wouldn't happen."
"But it has not been thirty days.It has been eleven."
Gianna nodded."I know.She won't listen."
"If it is what she wants, then who are you to tell her not to do it?"
Gianna sighed."Because I know she's doing this to stop herself from being happy."
"Why?"
Gianna shrugged.She touched his hand."Just like someone would think the big Rhimodian that she loved was going to see the pleasure women on the upper levels and was worried that you—he--would be dumping her soon."
He paused, and let her words sink in.“You truly thought that?"
"I did."
“You are my mate.Why would I dump you down anything?That seems painful.”
She chuckled.“It is, but not physically.It means you were done with me, that you moved on to someone else.”
