Hey.Did the lettering start to glow more?

"This is just bizarre," Gianna said. She couldn't see anything that showed where it had been milled or crafted or anything, it just looked too perfect.Yet it also matched the rocks.

"Come on, let's see. There must be a maker's mark or something on it.I mean, we're on the west coast. This has to be from a movie or something that a production team left behind."

"There hasn't been anyone doing any movies out here in forever," Gianna said.

"That's way more logical than it just appearing, attached to the stone. There has to be something--" She started to touch the writing.

Jerked her hand back.

"Did it shock you?"Gianna asked.

Tina nodded."It wasn't bad, but yeah."

Gianna put her hand on the ring, and electricity hit her hard.

"Ouch!Wasn't bad? That stung!"She shook her hand and glared at her friend. She must have a much stronger pain tolerance than she did.

Tina shrugged."Come on, let's look at the back of this thing.Find the power cord before it electrocutes us."

Gianna nodded."Or get out of here," she muttered to herself, but she stuck with Tina.Tina was on a mission, so Gianna was in it with her.

She could see the headlines.

Author and Astronomer Electrocuted in Cave!Should have Checked for Power!

Her and Gianna stepped through the ring.

Bright, blinding white light hit them.

For a second, everything split apart, her entire being separated by her atoms.A ripping pain that touched every single bit of her insides.Much more powerful than that electrocution thing had been before.

Then it was done.

Gianna landed with a thud on a hard metal surface.

A mostly dry, hard metal surface.

The only water seemed to be what she'd been standing in before.

"What in the hell was that?"Gianna asked, her gaze darting around.

This was no cave.It was a spaceship of some kind, Gianna thought.

She rubbed her head.

She was dead.

She had to be dead.

Because this certainly wasn't what the cave looked like. They had to have gotten electrocuted and this is the afterworld.

She looked around again.

Not exactly what she expected the land of the dead to look like.

"Did the tide come in?"Tina asked, pushing herself up.
