"I'm fine," Tina called back as they worked toward the arch.
"Swim," Tina said, and dove in the water, swimming toward the arch.
She went through.
Nothing happened.
Gianna, who'd gotten behind her grabbed the side, jumped, and went through like before. The blinding light made the cave glow for a moment, before she vanished.
The dogs entered the cave. Followed by one of the officers.
Wait, why did she--
She grabbed the arch.
Tina didn't!
"Miss Craige!"
Tina grabbed the side of the arch. It shocked her like before. "Tell my family I do love them, even though they're crazy."
She swam toward them, through the arch.
"Miss Craige?"
Nothing happened.
She gritted her teeth.
The police officer was almost there. He reached out for her.
The water was almost to her shoulders.
"Miss--"
An arm grabbed Tina, one with a silver gauntlet, and pulled her into the light.
She screamed as the light wrapped around her for a second.
And dropped her, and a good bit of seawater, on the floor of the IDA portal room.
She opened her eyes.
There was Kolvin. Sitting next to the portal, and Marcin behind him, holding him back.
She blinked. "Did you just reach through the portal and pull me through?"
"Did you have to go through a portal in water?"
"The tide had come in," she said, and wiped the water out of her face.
He pulled her over to him. "Are you all right?"
She nodded and curled into his big chest. "I am. Thank you for saving me."
"I think we saved each other."
"Hey, I helped," Marcin said. Gianna was right next to him, and he put his arm around her.
