Stop.

Be in my moment.

He noted the time.Unlike any military movement that the Rhimodians had done, this one was going to be done in silence, only based on being at certain points by certain time markers. They did not typically operate this way, and it was not something that many Rhimodians had experienced.Having a constant, open line of communication created at level of comfort among the units in the small scale and the larger groupings during battle.

Even with their cybernetic programming that usually overruled these kinds of things, their more primitive side was starting to emerge, stronger than usual.

Whatever happened, this would be a defining day in the Rhimodian history.

They would either live or die.

He hoped they lived.Because he liked his time with Caoimhe.Regardless of how stubborn she was.

The alert sounded.

It was time to break through the atmosphere.

Flanked by other Rhimodian vessels, he shot upwards. The stars were moderately filled with Terran military ships.

As soon as they broke atmosphere, the Terrans engaged.

Bahran fired back, as did the rest of his unit, and the other fighters in the area. The starfield became a flashing battle, all the blaster fire from each ship blinking everywhere.

"Engaging," Bahran said, though he didn't think anyone would be able to hear him.In his tactical displays, he saw the female's ship, rising with them, but slightly behind, and firing on the Terran vessels as well. They were on a transport--a tactical transport, with moderate weapons. They were to escort the ship out of the system and to the coordinates, but they had to get through the initial volley of Terran ships first.

They had reached several other Rhimodian units had come as well, creating a decent barrier between Sol-3 and the star traffic. They would keep the battle going here, and give them the exit needed to get out of the system.

At least that was the plan.Without proper communications, it was obvious, at least to Bahran, that everyone was just picking targets and fighting. But what else could they do at this point?

"Here is where it gets interesting," Bahran muttered to himself as he followed the general guidelines of the flight path and where he needed to be.Picking his own targets and taking them out.

Since there was no open communications lines, they all were heading to predetermined positions of importance.

Including making sure the ambassador's ship made it through the line.

The Terrans started moving toward them in more strategic placements.Positions that lined them up directly with the ambassadorial ship.

"They know what we're doing," he muttered.

Blaster fire shot all around him.He shot down one, then two more Terran fighters, but three more popped up, revealing themselves with their cloaking technology.

He growled as he engaged, adjusting his flight pattern.

He glanced at his fellow Rhimodians.

They were closing around Caoimhe's ship as well as the pilot--he guessed Veta--powered through the line of Terrans.

The Terrans were not moving without a fight.

Bahran flew hard for the front line that was pushing against Caoimhe.

He wasn't about to stop.

He'd fight every single one if that's what it took to make sure that Caoimhe was safe.
