He glanced at the hologram."Mind if I make some modifications to the design? This is rather obvious that pieces are missing. You wouldn't want that."
"As you see fit, sir.Make it come together. How long do you need?"
"This kind of custom work usually requires a few months."
Her shoulders slumped. She could make her plans slow down for a while.Spread out the--
"But for Fallon?I can do it in a couple of weeks."
Caoimhe smiled."She would appreciate that."
"And would you?"he asked.
"More than you know, sir."
"You'd better havea reason for running off today. The Emperor is furious," Eleanor said.
"Just like him, I have a reason for everything I do," she replied as she started to strip off her traveling clothes. And getting tangled in one of the layers.
Eleanor darted over to her."Here.You gotta--stop fighting and let me help you," she said as she helped her get out of her outer robes.
"Do you want me to unhook your hairpins too?"
She nodded and took a seat so Eleanor could detach some of her clips.
"So, how did it go?"she asked.
"It was horrible.I was attacked and mauled and beaten within my last breath," she replied.
"Okay, you don't have to be an ass," Eleanor said."Seriously, though, did you have the meeting?"
"What meeting do you speak of?"Caoimhe asked."Because I was there to have a new piece of art commissioned in memory of Mother. That meeting went well."
Eleanor raised her eyebrow."And you didn't meet any Rhimodians while you were there?"
"I did stumble into one.He seemed nice enough. They're very tall. And they have a lot of muscles," she said.
"Really?"
Caoimhe nodded."Oh yes.You would love all those muscles."
Eleanor laughed."Maybe I'll meet one sometime."
"Not as long as there is a war going on," Caoimhe said.
Eleanor got the last pin out and started brushing her hair."Gah, your hair has gotten so long."
"I know.I need to get it cut soon," Caoimhe said."Pretty soon, I'm not going to be able to hold it all up in the styles for events."
"I'm surprised you don't have a headache."
She shook her head."I don't get headaches, not like you do."
"Well, we won't talk about that," Eleanor said.
Caoimhe nodded. Her sister, traumatized after their mother's death, had a procedure done to erase her memories of the event.Unfortunately, the process wiped all of her memories of her mother, not only the incident.Once she was old enough to start working as a royal family member, Eleanor's primary charity was to have stricter laws against memory adjusting treatments for trauma. After experiencing the side effects, she became determined to stop anyone from having the procedure done who did not absolutely need it done.
One of the side effects was headaches all the time.
