"Not too far," Jedriek said."A few minutes of travel time."

She nodded."As soon as we out of range, detonate the station."

Bahran glanced at her."If you're sure. There may be beneficial tech--"

"There is nothing beneficial on that monstrosity. It was created out of hate and megalomania, and I don't want any of it.If there is tech there, it will be recreated in a positive way."She started to walk away, and Bahran followed her.

She walked into a corner in the rear of the ship, and that's where it happened.

Her resolve crumbled.

"Caoimhe," he whispered.

She turned to him, and he held out his arms. She leaned into him and collapsed. He pulled her little frame into him and held her close. She fit against him, and she curled up around him.

"You are a very strong woman."

"I know.I have to be."

"You do not have to be with me."

She tipped her head back to look at him."That is hard for me to do.I am supposed to be--"

He stroked her cheek."You are not supposed to be anyone but you, when you are with me."

"That's a lofty promise, there, Bahran. You planning on being with me forever?"

"If that's what it takes," he said.

"For what?"

"To make sure you're safe, then yes.I will be."

She smiled."Won't be an easy job.I'm a pain in the rear.Stubborn."

"She is.Very much so," Eleanor added.

"And she's opinionated," came Freya.

"Like you're not," Kian said over the communications. He was flying back in his fighter, as was Harbin, making sure their crafts got returned to Sol-3.

"This wasn't about me," Freya said.

"I think all of us are a little stubborn," Bianca said."We do what we have to."

Caoimhe glared at the others."We were having a private moment, here."

"Save it for when you have a door to close," Eleanor said.

"You can't say a word, you're standing there with your hands on Jedriek," Caoimhe said.

"You know--"

"We are out of range," Jedriek said.

Everyone looked out the front view.

"Do it," Caoimhe said."Blow that thing up."
