This would be a simple mission. Get Bianca back to the ground.
He blinked.
Not just Lady Bianca.
But the entire party. They had to get the whole party to safety for the peace treaty meetings.
Bringing peace to the Rhimodian and Terran Empire war was imperative. This incoming envoy was their future.
They had to succeed.
"Connect," Harbin said.
Everyone circled up.
"Coded and locked," Harbin said and held out his hand, palm down. Each man put his hand in until they made a circle, finger to thumb, like a cog.
"Three. Two. One," Harbin said.
"Execute," they all said at once.
Harbin watched as Kian and Wrathin came to a truce.
Good.
Because they all needed to be watching each other's backs for this mission.
What it was, he didn't know, but he had a stirring in his gut that this mission would not go easily.

"We’re crossing the shielding now,” Diado said.
The ship trembled as it passed through the Rhimodian’s defensive shield.
Veta put her hand on the wall, looking unfazed by the trembling. Bianca had felt it before when she’d been here, and it did not bother her this time. Still, she noticed the girls, including Lady in Waiting Freya, looked apprehensive about it.
Turbulence was usually a sign of attack.
In a state of war, it was natural to assume the worst.
There was an air to the mission, Bianca had noticed. While she continued to speak and hover over Caoimhe and Eleanor as much as she could, everyone was nervous.
Everyone but Veta.
Of course, Veta was a bodyguard and had a known reputation for being quite an assassin when the job warranted it.
A little turbulence did not worry her.
"Look," Freya said and gestured out the window. Escort ships surrounded their cruiser.
Terran and Rhimodian fighters escorted them into the Rhimodian shields. Bianca counted them. There were a great deal more Terran ships than Rhimodian. Only five Rhimodian ones that she could see.
Which one was Harbin?
Could he see her at the window? She didn’t know. She would have to ask him later. Unlike everyone else’s trepidation, Bianca was excited.
Okay, maybe excitement was the wrong thing.
