It was almost tangible, the way he studied her, his light eyes scrutinizing her.
“Do you need water?”
“I have rations in the bags,” she replied.
He nodded, and led her back to a smallish room, just off the main chamber. The natural formation had created a small chamber—well, small, compared to the entrance. This was more like a large bedroom.
“This is safe for you. It is back, and you may have privacy as you need to rest and recuperate.”
“You seem to think I need a lot of rest.”
He raised an eyebrow. “You do. Your scans are not yet at peak performance.”
So that’s what he was doing. Scanning me.
Figures.
Though she didn’t want to argue. A nap sounded like a wonderful idea—better than ogling the Rhimodian in his tight suit. Following him had been easier. The survival bags from the pod distracted from the size of his things.
Even now, she had to avert her eyes, because, well, she couldn’t help looking at the bulge in his crotch.
Yep.
Still there.
Still huge.
She was going to have to spend some time with her orgasm machine when she got back to the Terran homeworld.
Like a lot of time.
He put down the bags, oblivious to her internal musing. Though really, how would he react if he knew what she was thinking?
Probably nothing. If he didn’t get sarcasm, then what were the odds that he’d understand her speculation about his sexual equipment?
She seriously needed to scratch that itch, and soon.
“Here are your things,” he said.
“Thanks.” She dug around inside the bag of supplies and pulled out a lamp, though she’d gotten accustomed to the low light in the cave. But just in case, it was good to have it out. She might have to go explore later.
She removed a blanket and dug around a bit more.
Ahh, there they were.
“What are those little sticks,” Wrathin asked.
“The greatest things in the world,” she said, and laid out the sticks in two lines, with each one no longer than her forearm. On the ground, they just looked like little white rods. And if someone glanced at them, they would seem like nothing. A frame, possibly.
And they were.
Of a sort.
She pulled out of the bottom of the little bag they were in, a small box.
Hit the button.
And the sticks began to hum as they levitated off the floor. And an energy field buzzed between them. She tweaked the height, so she was about half a meter off the cave floor.
