“If it is the ambassador’s party?”

“We get them to safety until this can be sorted. We are not escalating this war further!”

“Execute,” they all said.

“Five pods. Likely the ambassador’s party,” Wrathin said.

“Why?” Jedriek asked.

“I saw them on the ship. There were five in the ambassador’s party. Watching us through the window.”

Kian sighed. “Of course, you did. You always see everything.”

“It is what I do,” Wrathin replied as he shot at two more Terran ships. Wounding them. He turned his focus back on the pods. “We need to intercept fast,” he said.

“The Terrans do not want us to,” Bahran said.

“Exactly why we need to,” Harbin said. “Protect those pods.”

Wrathin dove toward the nearest one, which was on a direct course with Sol-4, the moon filled with vegetation and mountain ranges.

As he did, one of the Terran ships turned and started firing. On him.

And the escape pod.

He fired back, taking out the ship’s weapons.

The escape pod darted away, moving in an evasive pattern as it dove toward Sol-4. Another Terran ship went after it.

Wrathin followed close and had the ship in range.

A couple of quick shots and the ship was destroyed.

The blast made the escape pod lurch. It fell off its axis and start tumbling.

Not good.
