She rocked, the evasion program kicking in and darting her to the side at the last second.

The ship had rocked because the blast did graze her, testing the shield. Testing them? What in the world?

Veta grabbed the controls, flipping off the autopilot and headed toward the nearest planet.

Moons.

They were moons. Too small to be planets, but plenty big enough to hide on until she could get this mess sorted out.

“Let’s see, mountains and ice, or mountains and jungles, or mountains and desert, or water with tiny bits of land, or the damn main capital. Hmm. Which one can I hide in.”

Because until she could figure out who the hell was trying to kill her, she needed to find cover, and fast.

She checked the telemetry of the other pods. Each one darted toward a different world. Probably not a bad idea. One on each planet. May make finding everyone a pain in the rear, but whatever.

Alive and hard to find is better than dead.

She shifted and shot toward the moon covered in vegetation.

And guess what?

A Rhimodian was following her.
