Lazerath didn’t fault him for any of it. Though he wasn’t going to let him walk away like that ever again.

But maybe what was missing was a human to remind him of that love as well, considering Davarox was still trying to untangle himself from her. “Rose, please, you’ll?—”

“Oh, shut up.” Lazerath grabbed the back of Dav’s neck and hauled him into his kiss.

Then promptly recoiled, bending down to physically pull Rosalind away.

“Fuck! You’re freezing!”

Davarox trembled, wiping his face only for more water to drip from his hair into his eyes. “I know. That’s what I was saying.”

Rosalind sniffed, a small shiver rolling through her body from her now-soaked clothing. “I started a shower before coming down. Should be warm.”

Laz shuddered as the chill ran through him, too. “Great, because now I’m cold too. Close the door and get your soggy ass in to warm up.”

He turned with Rosalind in his arms, halfway down the hall before he realized there were no squishy footsteps following. He turned, giving Dav an expectant look.

The gray demon rolled back on his heels, frowning down at the ground. “You… really mean it?”

Laz sighed, took one look at Rose, and then they were both stomping back to the male. Together, they snagged his icy hands and began dragging him toward the bathing chamber.

Steam already filled the space, fogging the mirror, and the tremor running through Dav’s body suggested the warmth was starting to work its way through him.

“Come on, beautiful,” Laz said, releasing Davarox to grab the hem of Rose’s shirt. “Wet clothes off.”

He helped peel the fabric away, tossing it aside and leaving her in a lavender chest band. Her skin pebbled from the chill, nipples already hard, and Lazerath had to fight every instinct not to bend down and take them in his hands and mouth.

Later. Later.

First, they had to deal with the other soaking wet body.

Dav still hadn’t moved to take off his clothing, only stood there trembling. Maybe succumbing to a little more than the cold.

Rose cocked her head, eyes softening as she stepped closer and placed a hand over Dav’s heart. “Overthinking?”

He swallowed, chin dipping in confirmation.

“Would you like me to help?”

Fuck, that had Laz’s cock twitching to attention. A reminder of that first night, and of how they had all found a rhythm despite not knowing one another.

It was always meant to be.

Dav shivered, thengrunted, “Yes.”

Rosalind glanced over her shoulder, an order already sparkling in her eyes. “Shirt.”

As Lazerath stepped forward, Rose helped pull the fabric away from Dav’s chest. Her fingers dove underneath, spreading across his chilled skin before Laz took over with the shirt to get it over Dav’s head and horns.

By the time Laz had tossed it away, Rose was already kneeling.

“You okay?” she asked from the ground, hands curled around the waist of his pants.

Davarox licked his lips, eyes dark as he stared down at her. “Yes.” He cleared his throat. “You don’t?—”

“Ah,” Laz chided, grabbing underneath Dav’s chin and lifting his face. “You’re not questioning the woman on her knees for you right now, are you?”

The rush of taking charge was dizzying, especially as Davarox let out a tiny groan and whispered, “No.”
