I scoffed at that. “If I cannot reach them, then Dominic certainly can’t. Besides, do you really think Dominic is capable of killing his own father?”
“He plans on killing you.” She said the words with ease, not blinking.
I nodded thoughtfully. “And it’s why he sent you. He thought you could get to me in ways he could not.”
She stood and came to me. I watched as she straddled my lap. I did not touch her as I stared into her pretty face.
“He does not,” I said softly. “He plans on you killing me.”
If she was surprised at my words, she hid it well as she reached out and cradled my face.
“And I will,” she whispered.
“I know,” I said without hesitation, my voice low.
She leaned in, her lips trailing along my jaw before she got to my ear.
“Why do I want to keep you then?”
I moved my hands and tightened them on her hips.
“You’re a bad, bad girl, Bianca,” I whispered as she kissed my jaw again. I closed my eyes. “You’re engaged to my son. You are pregnant with my brother’s child.”
I reached out and wrapped my hand around her throat and squeezed lightly. She tensed as I sat forward, one hand around her neck and one on her waist.
“I would fucking ruin you,” I whispered against her lips. “What did I tell you?”
“That you don’t play games.”
“What else?” I demanded softly, as I squeezed her throat lightly again.
“T-That you’d fuck me into oblivion.”
“Don’t be a fool,” I said, not knowing if the words were for me or for her.
She whimpered as I exhaled and released her. It took everything I had to set her on her feet and back away.
“You don’t want to talk to me anymore?” she asked in a tiny voice.
“You belong to my son. I do not want the madness you’re proposing.”
“You wanted me when you thought Dominic was your son,” she called out as I walked to the door. “Do you remember? When you put a gun to my head and made Natalia suck Dominic’s cock?”
I stopped, my jaw clenched at her words.
“You were going to fuck me then. What’s wrong? Scared now? Can’t get it up? Is the situation not violent enough for you?”
I closed my eyes for a moment, calming myself.
“I made a mistake that I deeply regret. I am not asking for forgiveness. If I were you, I’d save that vial of poison you clutch for your real enemy. I am not the one you hunt.” I didn’t turnback. I left her room, letting the door click locked behind me and standing in the hallway, my heart in my throat.
She wasn’t as smart as she thought she was. I could read her like a book. But Dominic was smart. He’d really sent the devil to tango with me.
I smiled at that.
Game on.
