Maybe you can convince me to like cereal on our first date.

<3

Bella

That pullsa smile to my face. Putting the cereal away, I grab the smaller package and unwrap it. It’s a new catnip toy.

Because Zucchini can’t be left out <3

I snort a laugh.Only Quinn would apologize by remembering to include something for my cat.

“Alright. You’re smiling. I think I’ve seen you do that a whole three times since I joined the team. What is this and what the hell is going on?”

So much for getting out of this conversation. There’s no way I can avoid it now.

“If I tell you, will you promise not to tell the guys?” I request, knowing it’s probably an impossible ask. I don’t know how these guys are so gossipy, but they are.

“As long as you promise to fill them in. You know we only bug you because we care,” he says. “But also, you know I’ll tell Graham. I can’tnottell him.”

I weigh what he’s offering. Telling his boyfriend I get. The two of them tell each other everything. They’re disgustingly in love, something I want. Promising to tell the guys? Maybe.

“Can I think about it if I tell you?”

“Deal.” A shit-eating grin spreads across his face as he sticks his hand out for me to shake.

“I met someone.”

“You did?” His jaw drops and I smack him in the bicep.

“Don’t act so surprised.”

“I just didn’t know you liked…people.”

I not so subtly flip him off. “You’re making me regret telling you this.”

“Sorry. Continue.”

He crosses his arms and leans against the mirrored wall.

“Well, I met someone who turned out to be a pop star.”

“You don’t have to lie.” He rolls his eyes.

“I’m serious. It’s Quinn. Well, Genevieve.”

“Now I know you’re lying. You met the world’s biggest pop star?”

I nod. “On a dating app. Although, I didn’t realize it was her until the other night.”

“Wait…” The wheels are turning as he’s starting to put everything together. “You said it washerthe other night. Was that the first time you met?”

“Yup.” I pop thep. “And it turns out she knew exactly who I was.”

“So what’s the problem?” Noah asks. “If she knew who you were and likes your grumpy ass, I don’t see what the problem is.”

“She knew who I was and didn’t tell me.”

“And?” Noah rolls his hand to tell me to keep going.
