“Oh, Cash. I don’t need this. All I need is you.”

I pull him toward me in a bruising kiss. A kiss that seals the love the two of us have together. A promise for the future.

Cash and I make quick work of our clothes before he’s sinking in to me. Before long, he’s exploding inside of me. Making me come on a quiet gasp that has my entire body yearning to be as close as possible to him.

A tear slides out of my eye.

“Princess.” He drops his forehead to mine.

“I love you, Cash. I love you so much, it’s hard to breathe.”

Cash kisses my tears away. “I’ll never get tired of hearing you say that, Piper. I love you.”

Cash pulls the duvet over us, and it’s a moment I’ll commit to my memory for the rest of time.

Nothing about this relationship is fake. It’s as real as they come.

Because Cash Williams is my knight in shining armor. My Prince Charming.

The love of my life.

And I can’t wait to spend every minute with him.

Chapter Twenty-Eight

CASH

“You know, Piper, you really could have come to me with this.” Cassie turns an eye on Piper.

“I didn’t want them to do anything to Cash.” She shies away from the confrontation.

Cassie clasps her hands over her desk and leans toward Piper. “And who do you think has the power to make them keep their mouths shut?”

“Uhh…” Piper stammers.

“That’s right, me.” Her eyes flit to mine. “You both should have come to me.”

I throw my hands up in defense. “Hey, I didn’t know about this until last night. I came to you immediately.”

“Way to throw me under the bus,” Piper mutters.

“Hey.” I grab her hand. “I want them to go away as much as you do, Princess. Okay?”

I kiss her palm, and Cassie’s eyes are bugging out of her head when I look at her again.

“You know you don’t have to pretend when you’re with me, right?”

I smile at Piper. “We know. But this isn’t fake. Not anymore.”

“Wow.” Cassie throws a pen down on her desk and leans back in her chair. “Who knew my brilliant idea would work.”

“This was your plan the whole time?” Piper asks.

“I mean, I didn’t think it would last, but Cash is a changed man.”

I roll my eyes at her. “Thanks, Cassie.”

“I’m serious. I wouldn’t have picked Piper if I didn’t think you two would be good together. Maybe I should start a matchmaking business…” Cassie trails off.
