I’ve never met someone like her. She’s strong. She’s fierce. She didn’t back down from this town telling her they didn’t want her.

Look how well that turned out.

I don’t know who I’m more pissed at. Me for letting it slip or this town for turning their backs on one of their own.

My radio crackles to life.

“Boss. We’ve got a live one.”

With the wedding today, I didn’t want to take any chances for security and have every man on duty. Just what I need this morning.

“What sector?”

“Seven.”

I slide the radio back into my pocket.

“Everything okay?” Pierce asks.

“Need to check things out. Stay here.”

Rushing out of their suite, I head to find the golf cart to take me to the far edge of the property. With guests due to arrive at any minute, I want to get whatever this is taken care of away from prying eyes.

My guy has someone sitting with his back to the tree. From what I can tell, they are arguing about something.

As soon as I park the golf cart, both sets of eyes are on me. Stretching myself out of the cart, the guy on the ground looks scared.

Good.

At least I know I’m doing one thing right.

“What’s going on over here?”

I cross my arms, making sure to flex my biceps to look even more menacing.

“Found him climbing over the fence.”

“You know you’re trespassing on private property, right?”

With the ranch being so large, I don’t think the press knows what’s Winchester land and what’s not. But given the camera around his neck, I’d say he knows what he’s doing.

“Look man, can’t you just let me go?”

The guy looks sleazy. With a ponytail hanging down his back and a grungy leather jacket, he isn’t doing much to try and fit in.

“Won’t be happening.”

“Do you know how much a photo of Tiffany Travers at her son’s wedding would go for?” he argues.

This is who he wanted a picture of? Blake’s mom?

Idiot.

“Christ. Get him out of here.”

“What do you want me to do with him?” my guy asks.

I study the man with a camera around his neck. “Take him down to the police station. Let him wait the wedding out there and then they can release him.”
