Page 7 of Love in Australia

She grabs my arm in excitement. “You’ll love it. There’s so much to see and do. Did you get to see anything this weekend?”

“I spent most of the weekend getting settled into my place.” No need to go into the other extracurricular activities from the weekend. That tiny twinge between my legs is reminder enough.

“Of course. Here we are.” The elevator doors open to a lobby filled with activity. Jessica, ever the diligent guide, points everything out as we make our way through the office. She introduces me to people, new faces swirling in front of me as we move from department to department.

“This is your office. If you need any supplies, just let us know.” She pushes open a door to a small office overlooking another building. “Not the best views, but you’ll be working with Mr. Scott in the conference room a lot. The conference room view is of the harbour, and it is beautiful.”

“How is it working for Mr. Scott?” I ask, setting my bag down.

“Mr. Scott can be intimidating. Firm, but fair. I don’t work with him too much, but he’s easy on the eyes.”

A smirk spreads across my face. “Does everyone in this country look like they’re related to a Hemsworth?”

Jessica sighs. “If only. Now, if you’re ready, I’ll take you to meet Mr. Scott.”

“Let’s go.” I’m ready to get started on this new project that brought me from Indianapolis to Down Under.

Jessica chatters away as we make our way to the corner office. She wipes her hands on her skirt, a nervous energy overcoming her. “Stella. Is he ready?”

“Yes, darling. Go on in.” The woman outside Mr. Scott’s office beams at us as Jessica knocks on the door, waiting for permission to enter. When it comes, I follow her in.

“Mr. Scott. This is Reagan Foster, our new project manager.” Jessica’s smile isn’t as big now, no doubt nervous being in front of the CEO of the company. But when my eyes lock on his, my smile fades entirely.

It’s Leo. The giver of magical orgasms and possessor of a magical tongue, who did so many dirty and delicious things to my body that my pussy is clenching at the memory.

“That will be all. Thank you, Jessica.”

Jessica gives an awkward bow as she backs out of the office. I fix my gaze on Leo, trying to get my wits about me. “If you expect me to bow to you when I leave your office, you probably should rethink that.”

“I don’t know what that was,”—Leo waves his hand in the direction of where Jessica had been standing—”but I don’t expect that.” He stands, rounding the desk, perching his perfect ass on the edge. “Please. Have a seat.”

If cockiness had a tone, this would be it. The smile on his face is downright conniving.

“Leo, is it?” I stride across the office, taking a seat in the chair directly in front of him. He stays quiet, giving me a minute to drink in my fill of him. Brown hair expertly styled. White dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up, no tie. Grey slacks and shiny black shoes.

Leo oozes confidence. The same way he did when I first met him at the club. His muscles flex under my perusal. God, if he isn’t one of the sexiest men I’ve ever met.

“You know damn well what my name is. Had you screaming it on Friday night.”

His words have me squeezing my legs together.

“Just making sure you aren’t the wicked twin of the man I met on Friday.”

“No twin. Just wicked.” Leo winks at me. Damn him and those delicious brown eyes I can get lost in.

“I’ll say. Had I known you were going to be my boss—”

Leo cuts me off. “You what? Wouldn’t have slept with me?”

I shake my head. “I make it a point not to sleep with coworkers.”

“Well then.” Leo pushes off the desk and drops his hands onto the armrests of the chair I’m sitting in. The woodsy smell of his cologne wafts over me. Why does he have to smell so good? “It’s a good thing we weren’t coworkers that night. Because I don’t sleep with people who work for me either.”

His breath is warm on my cheek. If I turned my head an inch or two, our lips would meet. His eyes are focused on my mouth.

It takes everything I have not to wet my lips. To close the distance between us and take another drugging kiss from Leo. How is it in a city of over five million people, I sleep with the one person I shouldn’t have?

I push Leo back out of my space, needing clearer air to think. His pec flexes under my touch. “It’s a good thing we got it out of our systems then. I can be professional about this if you can.” Even if I want to see him shirtless again. But no. I can’t think about that. About all the abs he has underneath that tight shirt.
