Page 60 of Love in Australia

“Still haven't figured it out?” Leo parks the car, walking around to take me in his arms after I shut the door.

“I'm assuming you weren't taking me to a car park for a date night.”

His lips smile against mine. “Listen to you, talking like an Aussie. Might just be the sexiest thing ever.”

I wrap my arms around his shoulders, anchoring him to me. “And to think, I'm not even putting the moves on you.”

“You should know by now; you don't need any moves. Everything you do turns me on.” His eyes grow heated as he pulls me closer to him. Big hands cup my ass, giving a firm squeeze that makes me wet.

“I wouldn't mind passing on whatever you have planned to go to the hotel.” I rub a palm over his pecs, feeling his muscles flex under my hand. His dick is getting harder against my hip.

“Nope. We're not missing this. This is something you've been wanting to do since you arrived.” Leo steps away from me, discreetly adjusting his hard-on.

“Wait. Are we doing what I think we're doing?”

Leo takes my hand in his and pulls me away from the car. “That depends. What do you think we're doing?”

“Are we climbing the Harbour Bridge?” Excitement hangs on my every word. “Please tell me that's what we're doing!”

Leo spins to face me but doesn't stop walking. “Smart as you are beautiful. How did I ever get so lucky?”

“Ahh.” I jump into his arms, my legs wrapping around his waist. “I can't believe we're doing this tonight!”

I was too nervous to do it while I was pregnant. Leave it to Leo to plan the perfect night for me. “I don't know how I got so lucky.”

Leo walks us, me still in his arms, to the climb center. The bridge looms large behind us. I can't believe we're finally doing it.

“Reservation for Scott.” Leo sets me down as he checks us in.

“Ahh, Mr. Scott. We're so thrilled to have you and your partner join us tonight. It's a great night for a climb. We'll get you checked in and then you'll be starting your private climb shortly.”

My eyebrows shoot up. “A private climb?”

Leo smirks down at me. “What can I say? I wanted it to be just the two of us tonight.”

“Someone's getting lucky tonight.” I drop another kiss on his lips. I don't know if it's because it is our first night away from Tilly or because Leo is pulling out all the stops, like he usually does, but I'm feeling more emotional than normal.

“Keep it in your pants, woman. Lord knows I'm trying.” Leo swats me on the ass before he is called away to get fitted for a suit. I follow another woman for my own shapeless grey suit, before we both get briefed on the climb.

“You'll be hooked onto the bridge the entire time. It easily moves as we traverse the bridge, so no need to mess with it. Do either of you have any questions?” Our guide, an older gentleman with a bushy mustache, asks. We both shake our heads.

“Right. Then let's get going. Brilliant night for a climb.” He gives us a wink as we follow him through the underground area.

“I don't think I've ever been so excited,” I whisper to Leo, grabbing onto his arm.

“I aim to please.” Our guide distracts us, giving us facts about the bridge as we leave the safety of land behind. Steel beams crisscross in front of us as he hooks us to the bridge, and we start our climb.

It's louder. The sounds of traffic echo around us as we move under the bridge. The harbour is busy, boats motoring to and fro beneath us. People are milling around the quay, enjoying the early Friday evening.

“This is such an amazing view of the city.” The Opera House gleams to the right of us. The busy quay quiets the farther we dive into the bridge.

“Pretty killer view myself.” Leo's voice is close behind me. Turning to see him close behind, his eyes are on my backside.

“And to think I thought you were enjoying the city.”

“Rae, I've lived here my entire life. Seeing your reaction to this is all I need.” His wink sends heat through my body. I don't think I'll ever get used to it. I don't want to. I love the way he makes me feel.

I steal a kiss from him before turning and following our guide once again. The space on the bridge narrows as we start our ascent. The sun dips below the horizon, casting dark blues across the city. The neon lights of Luna Park reflect off the dark waters of the harbour.
