The pause was so long that I almost peeked over the dashboard to see what in the fuck was going on. But, when I heard the crashing sound of glass in my headphones, I knew exactly what had happened.

“That fucking bitch!” Gordon exclaimed.

I forced myself to swallow my fury down. I couldn’t get out of the car. I couldn’t go defend her honor. But goddamn it, I wanted to put a bullet in that man’s skull for calling her that.

No one called her that.

Not unless they were about to make her cry out in ecstasy.

“You got pictures, Barker?” Gordon snapped.

“Duh,” he said.

“Let me see them. Now.”

Shit.

They had surveillance photos of us. I had to get back to Ranger. I had to let them know that not only had our faces been seen, but they had been captured.

“See? That’s Naomi. Look at how that guy’s holding her,” Barker said.

“That skinny motherfuck. Who the hell does he think he is, touching my girl like that?” Gordon asked.

“He’s really not that skinny,” Barker murmured.

I smirked at the comment. I couldn’t wait to fuck that man’s girl in front of him.

If Naomi approved, of course.

Still, none of this was good. If there was picture evidence of us with a missing woman, we were sunk. They’d come after us until there was nothing left. Until they had chased us out of town, out of the state, and out of our damn bodies.

I quickly pulled out my burner phone and shot a mass group text to the guys.

Me: They have surveillance photos. Naomi’s in them. They’ve got proof.

“All right,” Gordon said as I stashed the phone back into my pocket, “here’s what we’ll do.”

“All ears,” Barker said.

“I want to personally pay these fuckers a visit before we go see the Captain.”

Barker paused. “Uuuh, are you sure that’s smart?”

“Of course, it’s not smart!” Gordon said as he banged his fist against something. At least, I thought it was his fist. “But, I want to see for my own eyes. I have to. I don’t have any other choice.”

“What do you think you’re going to find?”

“I don’t know, but I need to see it. Where they’ve kept her. What they’ve done to her. I want to see why the fuck she looks so comfortable with Pipe Cleaner over here.”

Barker sighed. “You want to see what they have that you don’t.”

“Trust me,” Gordon growled, “there’s nothing they’ve given her that I already haven’t. She’s as selfish as they come.”

“Then, let’s go to the Captain first. Let’s do this right.”

“You’re either in, or you’re out.”

Barker scoffed. “You know who you sound like right now?”
