So, I walked over to him and placed my hand on his shoulder. “She’s strong, and she’s got you at her side. It may take some time but getting her back into her own place and away from this pathetic psychopath will do her a great deal of good.”

He sighed heavily. “I needed to hear that. Thanks.”

I patted his shoulder softly. “Not a problem.”

“All right, I’m here,” Fangs said as he traipsed down the stairs. “Reaper.”

I turned to face him. “What’s up?”

He cocked his head as he waltzed up to me. “I hear you may have… put an interesting hurtin’ on the man behind this door.”

I cackled. “You heard about the tickles?”

Fangs shook his head. “No, but I did hear some other fun stuff.”

Viper furrowed his brow. “What fun stuff? What did I miss?”

A smile broke out across my face. “Ah, just what I’m good at. See, we confiscated his cell phone, right?”

Viper nodded. “Right.”

I shrugged. “Well, it didn’t take long for me to figure out that his cell phone has all of his bank accounts connected to it.”

Viper’s jaw dropped open. “You didn’t.”

“What?” I asked as I tossed my hands into the air. “It was right there, waiting to be taken. I mean, his phone opens with FaceID recognition software. All I did was put that crybaby’s face right there in front of the camera, and boom. Access to all of his business, legal and illegal.”

Fangs grinned wildly. “You’re a hell of a force to be reckoned with, you know that?”

I waved my hand at him. “It was simple. I was just having some fun. I got tired last night and needed something to keep me awake.”

“So, what did you do with his money?” Viper asked.

“Yeah, I’d like to know the answer to that question, too, you son of a bitch,” Wes glowered behind the door.

I placed my ear to the door and spoke clearly so that I knew he heard me. “I used your face to gain access to your accounts, and then I changed your passwords. All of them. Your accounts are under my control now, and let me tell you… we’ve been needing the money.”

“I’ll sue all of you into the ground for this!” Wes exclaimed.

Fangs barked with laughter as he patted my back. “You’re a wild motherfucker, you know that?”

Viper snickered. “You’re a fucking genius, is what you are.”

I shook my head. “Nah, Wes is just a fucking idiot. Makes it easy to look like a genius when you’re playing with toddler software.”

“Shut up!” Wes shrieked.

It was Fangs’ turn to slam his fist against the door. “Keep that shit up and you’ll get to see what I bring to the table. And I can promise you it doesn’t feel nearly as fun as being tickled.”

I sighed with relief. “Well, I’m gonna go catch up on some sleep.”

Viper nodded. “Thank you for keeping watch last night. Lila and I appreciate it.”

Fangs clapped my upper arm. “We all do. Go sleep, and we’ll see you tonight at midnight for another shift change.”

“Don’t mind if I do,” I said breathlessly.

Pulling my tired body up the steps, I navigated to my clubhouse room before I fell face-first into bed. I didn’t even bother closing the door. I simply kicked off my boots, wiggled out of my jacket, and slipped beneath the covers. Our place had been crowded lately, especially with the flood of women that my brothers had taken on. And don’t get me wrong, I was happy for them. I was glad that they found their soulmates and all that shit.
