And he knew it.

My rage escalated.

“I choose the latter,” I hissed, my head swinging forward, cracking into his nose.

Stumbling back with a grunt, his hands going to his face, noticing the fresh blood pouring from it. He looked at me, his eyes darkening, his chest heaving before he came back for me.

This time, I ducked, darting out of his reach.

The ghost of his touch circled around me, grazing my skin, pushing in toward my soul. My feet faltered, and my lids fluttered with the most intense ecstasy. The most unbelievable agony.

I couldn’t find the difference between them, mixing and blending into the same intensity.

It was like setting the rawest nerve on fire.

Vicious.

Intimate.

Invasive.

There was nowhere I could hide. He touched every cell, consumed every part of me. The sensation was so deep and acute I no longer felt attached to my body. Just one second and a groan already burst from my lips, my body heaving and pulsing with an impending orgasm. But I knew it would be nothing like a normal orgasm. Nothing was ever normal when it came to us.

This would claim every molecule, own me, drown me. Keep me prisoner.

Fuck no.

Blinding rage burned through me. The monster unleashed. “Get the fuck out!” I snarled and spit.

“Can give it, but can’t take it, princess?”He stood opposite of me, but his presence scraped up my neck. Reminding me when I had done it to him.

I snarled and barreled for him. He tried to grab for me, but my hands flayed, smacking him hard in the chest. “Asshole!” I sneered. “You betraying, narcissistic, vindictive bastard!”

“I’m all of those things and then some.” He swung back, clipping mychin as I twisted out of his reach. I tasted blood, felt the bruise ballooning on my jaw. Energy sang in my veins, turning me more animalistic. Keeping low, I kicked my one booted foot into the side of his knee. He caught it as it landed, ripping that one off too, tossing it to the floor.

Whirling, my leg struck his hip, knocking him into the nightstand, the lamp crashing to the floor, shattering into pieces.

“You’re spineless!”

“Spineless?” He snorted, standing up, his chest puffed, his teeth showing.

“You let those men ride away,” I jeered, brushing my hair out of my face. “The notoriousWolf, thelegend, is nothing but a coward!”

“You really want to call me that?”

“Oh, I’m sorry, am I not bowing at your feet like all the whores here?” I spat, my fury riding over everything I felt and said. “Maybe you should get Rosie back in here; I’m sure she’ll suck on your massive ego.” I nodded to his cock.

“Jealous, Kovacs?”

“Why would I be?” I taunted. “I have a whole fan club to pick from, remember? You weren’t the only one enjoying someone else’s company earlier.”

His aqua eyes went almost black, his shoulders expanding, something snapping in him. The deadly warrior vaulted to the surface. He prowled toward me with lethal precision. My body filled with adrenaline, heating my skin and tightening my nipples.

Yanking out the knife in my belt harness, I craved the moment he was close enough for me to strike. I needed his pain... his blood. He twisted away from the knife while his hand tried to knock it out of my grip. Twirling, I pounced back for him, the tip of the blade cutting his side, ripping his shirt open, and slicing through to his flesh. His nose flared as blood soaked into the fabric, glistening off the dim light from the above.

“Think I won’t actually kill you?” A growl emanated from him.

“You had your shot.” I countered his step to me. “I told you. Don’t ever threaten me again unless you’re looking to be gutted.”
