Abi leaned forward and kissed Nash. “Thanks.”
“It’s showtime, baby.” Nash got out and then went around to Abi’s side of the car and opened the door for him.
Abi took his hand, and together they entered the lion’s den for the second day in a row.
Chapter Fifteen
They sat in the same spot as they had the first night, complete with Abi sitting on Nash’s lap.
Abi buried his face in Nash’s neck again. Nash shivered when Abi kissed him. His fangs brushed against his skin right where the mating mark would go. “I have an urge to bite you. I’ve never had that urge with anyone else before.”
Abi had let Nash in a little at a time after their talk, which was good, but Nash wondered if he still would after tonight. The real acting would begin as soon as they met Mallor, and Abi wasn’t good at keeping his cool. Keeping him busy was the best thing to do, but Nash feared that Abi wouldn’t appreciate the way he would do that.
“We’ll have to be on tonight even when the rescue team comes,” Nash whispered.
“I’ll do my best.”
“Not to kill anyone,” Nash added. “Say it.”
Abi sighed. “Not to kill those perverted, sick fucks.”
Nash couldn’t help but smile at the way Abi rephrased it. “Close enough.”
“We’ll have to have sex. In front of them.” Abi squirmed on Nash’s lap and pressed his hand to his cock.
“Do you like the thought of that, boy?”
“Yeah. People watching us.” Abi bit him again, not breaking the skin. Did it comfort him? Then he licked the spot where his teeth had been. “Don’t let anyone else touch me? Promise.”
“Of course, I promise. I’ll rip apart anyone who tries.” Nash held him tighter. “Just me, baby. I swear it.”
Abi sighed. “Okay, Daddy. Then I’m ready.”
As if on cue, the same man who had come for them the day before arrived again. “Mr. Mallor has requested your presence in his skybox.” The man had the same stoic expression as before too.
They followed the man through the arena and up a flight of stairs. Nash kept a hand on Abi’s lower back, making sure Abi felt his touch. Nash would keep him safe. That was the top priority. The mission was secondary.
Abi pointed to the floor, letting Nash know the fighters were on the floor below them.
Nash nodded, and then he drew Abi to him. “Are you going to be a good boy in front of Mr. Mallor?”
“The best boy, Daddy.” Abi ran his hand up Nash’s chest.
Nash patted Abi’s ass, leaving his hand there.
Abi met his gaze with raised eyebrows.
Nash glanced at the camera in the corner and then nodded to the one behind him.
If anyone were keeping tabs on them, then Nash’s hand on Abi’s ass would make sense to them as they entered Mallor’s skybox.
They climbed a set of stairs, and then the guard stopped in front of the first door they came to, opened it for them, and gestured for them to enter. “Enjoy the party, gentlemen.”
Nash leaned into Abi and kissed his cheek. “Here we go.”
Nash’s stomach turned with dread when he entered the room. Every helpless moment came back to him in a flood of memories. He thought he’d dealt with it, but he wondered if he’d been too optimistic. The drugs had been the worst because he still couldn’t remember what Mallor did to him. He just knew something had happened. Something terrible. When he’d woken up, his body ached everywhere. He’d had bruises. One eye was swollen shut, and he’d been naked. That was the extent of it.
He shut it all off, shutting down his system when the memories tried to take hold. Abi must have sensed it because he leaned into Nash. “You’re okay. I’m right here. Focus on me.”
