Abi nodded. “Because we know where they are. I get that part of the mission, Nash. Make nice with Mallor before sending our team in to rescue the fighters.”
“And try not to give up our cover during the process. The hardest part is finding out where Mallor keeps his sex slaves.” Mallor didn’t leave a paper trail, at least not that Nash had found, so finding their location would be tricky. So either he had an alias, or he hadn’t moved slaves in so long that there was no trail to find. Nash hoped it wasn’t the latter because if it were, then their job would be a lot harder. “I’ve done some digging throughout the years. He frequents one club more than any other, and in the last year, he’s been exclusive to it.”
Abi nodded, listening intently.
“The club caters to every type of kink. BDSM. Daddy/boy play. Fetishes. You name it, this club has it. Mallor doesn’t have a main kink. He seems to like it all. That will play in nicely with what I have in mind. But tell me about your limits.”
“You can spank me. Lightly. Tapping. But that’s where it ends. And I don’t have a fetish.” Abi’s eyebrows drew together. “I don’t think. But the punishments and being tied up. There is no way that’s happening.”
“Understood.” Nash tried not to smile. “I was thinking we’d go the Daddy/boy route, since that’s something I’m into.”
“Yeah, you have the vibe. Daddy. And same here. Any punishments, should you have to dole them out, cannot be anything above a light spanking.”
“No spankings. Got it.” It did nothing for him anyway. “I hope to avoid punishment altogether. Should it come up, we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.”
Abi nodded. “Then I’m good with everything else.”
“Public displays?”
“This entire job is all about putting on a show for Mallor, right?”
“Yes.”
“Then let’s give him something to remember.” Abi grinned. “I’ll do whatever it takes to put that man in the grave.”
They agreed there. “Just make sure your murderous intent stays hidden.”
Abi smirked. “Ditto.”
Nash wouldn’t have any trouble hiding his true feelings. He could blend in and remain neutral in any situation. He could become anyone. Whatever the job required.
He knew what it was like to be trafficked. He wouldn’t let anyone else go through what he did.
Chapter Nine
When Abi said he’d do anything, he didn’t really mean it.
He eyed the teddy bear as though it had sharp, gnarly teeth. No way was he carrying the thing around an arena of vultures. The people who went to fighting arenas would eat him alive if he showed up with a stuffie. What the actual fuck.
He held the teddy bear by its ear and dangled it in Nash’s face. “You want me to take this to a fighting arena where bloodthirsty people will bet on who kills whom?”
Nash held up his hands. “Your people packed for both of us. Obviously, they thought you’d want it.”
Abi sighed and held the bear against his chest. It wasn’t the bear’s fault that it was there. Abi shouldn’t punish it for showing up. And besides, he did like stuffies, but he hadn’t really wanted Nash to know that. “I’m not taking it to the arena. It might get all bloody.”
The corner of Nash’s mouth turned up when he glanced at the bear. “We’ll sit in the back to avoid that from happening if you prefer taking it with us."
Abi covered the bear’s eyes. “He shouldn’t see the fighting. It would traumatize him.”
Nash full-on smiled as he walked to the mirror. “How do you know it’s a him?”
“Because his name is Clyde. Duh?” Abi rolled his eyes as if the answer was obvious.
“Clyde. Right.”
Nash sighed as he picked lint off his suit. He mumbled something about the suit being white. He’d have the same problem as the bear if he got too close to the action. “The agenda tonight is simple. Get the lay of the land, pinpoint Mallor’s location, and make sure Mallor notices us. That’s it. Day two is all about getting invited into Mallor’s private domain. We won’t worry about that tonight, though.”
Abi gave Nash the once-over. “You’ll be very noticeable in that suit. There will be no one sexier than you. I promise.”
