“Go introduce yourself.” I pulled my arm away.

“He’s seeing someone,” Dom said.

“Oh, Yari doesn’t care. She just wants to f—” My words were cut off by her hand over my mouth.

If Lenora had done this, I would have licked or bit the palm of her hand. Shit, if Yari had done this last week, I would have done it, but now, my eyes were on Lenora, who was getting more visibly upset by the second. I didn’t like it. The jealousy was cute when we talked about whether or not I liked older or younger women. Yari was here in the flesh, though, and I didn’t want Lenora to feel threatened by her in any way. Not that she should. No one in this party had anything on Lenora. Besides, she was too good. I wanted to make her smile. And scream my name.

I yanked Yari’s hand from my mouth.

“I just want to meet the man my best friend almost gave her heart to,” she said.

“Yaritza,” Dominic warned.

Yari ignored him. She lived for this shit. She was just as bad as Gabriel, trying to make Dom jealous as if it took much to poke the bear when it came to Rosie. Last week, I told Rosie she looked good in some white jeans, and Dominic looked at me like he wanted to murder me.

“I did not give him my heart. I almost checked number five off the—” Rosie’s sentence was interrupted by her husband.

“Okay, that’s enough. You wanted me riled up?” he asked, dipping down and lifting her in his arms like a bride on her wedding night. He buried his face in her neck and made her yelp.

“Dominic.” She slapped his chest. “You know we’re joking.”

“And you know I hate those jokes.” He shot her what he probably thought was a stern look and then shot Yari a real stern look that promised death if she kept going.

“Okay, I’m going. Can you let Rosie down so she can introduce me to him, or is she no longer allowed to talk to him?” Yari asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Of course, she’s allowed to talk to him. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t control her life. And Jimmy’s a friend.” Dom winked as he set his wife down.

Rosie grabbed his face and kissed him before taking Yari’s and Isabel’s hands in hers. Isabel automatically grabbed Emma’s, and they headed off. They looked like they were about to skip into a fucking musical, holding hands like that. Gabe followed them off to greet his finance friends who had arrived.

“It’s like she wants my blood pressure to go up,” Dom said under his breath.

“You’re the moron who falls for it every time.” I shook my head.

“I don’t fall for it. I know I have nothing to worry about, but the image still pisses me off.” He picked up his glass of whiskey and took a sip. “Onto business.”

“Yeah. Where’s Russo?” Gio asked, looking around the yard. “And Cat.” He frowned as he took out his phone and texted one of them.

“Russo’s at the funeral home, probably trying to figure out what coffin he wants to bury the woman running it in,” I said.

Dominic laughed. “I need to meet this woman.”

“You and me both,” I said. “Loren went down to the port with Jamaican Mike and his crew. And Cat. . .I don’t fucking know. She’s your sister.”

“And you didn’t want to join Lor and Mike?” Dom asked, raising an eyebrow. “That’s new.”

“I was already here when they said they were heading over there. It would have taken me too long to catch up to them,” I said because it was better than saying that I had seen his sexy as fuck sister sipping wine in his kitchen when they called, and there was no way in hell I was leaving.

“Huh.” Dom looked at me a moment too long before turning to Gio. “Should we send some of our soldiers?”

“I already did,” I said.

“Oh.” Dom smiled. “So,that’swhy you’re here.”

“Yep.” I took a sip of the whiskey I’d been babysitting.

When I looked back up at Lenora, she was talking to Matti. Nico and Mattia reminded me of Dom and me when we were younger, which was why I saw red when Mattia set his hand on Lenora’s shoulder. She looked over at me and smirked. Oh, so now she was trying to bait me. I raised an eyebrow. She stepped away and took her phone out of her back pocket. Mine buzzed a moment later. I took a step back from the guys and looked at it.

Lenora: maybe he can be my first
