I truly wouldn’t care if they couldn’t tell Derek and I apart. Our friends couldn’t, only Nolen seemed to know,somehow.

“Nice to meet you both,” Dad said, hugging Nolen and then Derek. “We’re so happy that Aiden found you both.”

“I’m the lucky one,” Nolen replied, giving me a wink.

“I’m glad you’re aware of that,” Daddio muttered, but his eyes held amusement. Damn, I hoped they weren’t going to grill poor Nolen…

“I made ribs!” Daddio declared and then moved towards the backyard.

“Ah, the infamous ribs,” Nolen said, following eagerly behind.

I let them go ahead and follow my dads as I watched from the back, loving that my family finally met.

And as I followed their laughter outside to the backyard, I felt my once broken soul beam with happiness.

I had my dads, my twin, and my mate. I could finally be whole. I could finally be the Aiden I was born to be. Simply myself. Forever.
