“In the castle, and more specifically, their medical wing. You fainted when we left because of your magical core.”

“I did?” I had no recollection of it, all I remembered was that we had to leave to find Aiden, but nothing after that.

“You did,” he confirmed. “I had to leave you behind and find Aiden myself.”

He’d left me? Okay, now wasn’t the time to worry about that.

“Did you find him?” I asked, knowing my twin being found had to be my priority, not the fact my mate left me behind in a coma.

“See for yourself,” he replied, turning my face to Nolen’s other side.

And there, sleeping peacefully, was a guy who looked exactly like me. The only difference was our haircut.

“Aiden?” I sobbed, hiding my face in Nolen’s neck. I wasn’t ready to face all of this yet. I felt too weak. “How long?” I asked instead, still hiding from the world, meaning my muffled question might not have registered to Nolen.

To my surprise, he answered, “You’ve been asleep for a month and a half, Aiden for a month.”

“Is he okay?”

“He’s worse off than you, sadly, but we’re doing everything we can for him,” he assured me.

“Should we try to find his mate? Maybe gaining his magic could help him?” I didn’t like sharing my brother with anyone, especially not somestranger, but if he would feel for his mate like I did for Nolen, then it was a necessity.

“About that…” Nolen began and I worried for a second that his mate had already claimed him before I’d even talked to him myself. “He’s my mate, too.”

I had to have heard that wrong. “He’s yours, too?”

“He is. I know now he’s what’s been missing. Whatwewere missing.”

Tears filled my eyes and I sobbed against Nolen’s chest. Aiden would stay with us forever. I knew he was like a stranger to me, and should’ve felt that way. But I already felt like I knew him; like he was a part of what Nolen and I had together. It would be fun, having my twin so close all the time, and it didn’t even matter to me that I would be sharing Nolen with him, I actually loved the thought.

“Please tell me you aren’t mad at me?”

I sat up, my aching arms protesting. “Why would I be mad at you?”

His eyes searched mine, like he needed to see I was being truthful.

“Because I left you here, and because I now have another mate I love. I feel like I somehow messed up.”

I shook my head at him, a smile tugging at my lips. “You did all of that for me, remember? Finding Aiden at first was because I needed him. That he is yours, too, is only a blessing. I love that he and I get to share you. I know for a fact now that no one will ever take him away from me again.”

“You’re amazing,” he praised, tugging me back down on his chest.

I chuckled, feeling tired. “Tell me how you met.”

“I saw him walking with a friend. Our eyes met and I knew he was my mate, too. We walked towards each other, and then before I knew it, he kissed me.”

“Oh,” I laughed softly. Then I turned serious when I realized, “That’s why he fainted?”

I could feel Nolen nod. “And now I have no idea when he’ll wake again.”

“I hope it’s soon,” I whispered, closing my eyes. “I can’t wait to meet him again.”

And then, I fell asleep.
