Felix nodded. “It’s rather fun, actually. I haven’t eaten this good since my Gran was alive. With Joel here I might need new clothes.” They both laughed at that, making my smile falter.
“I am sure you would carry the extra weight with beauty,” I stated, meaning every word. Both men just stared at me, like I had said something confusing. But then Felix’s cheeks blushed and I could hear his heart beating faster.
Take that Joel.
Felix cleared his throat. “Do you need to feed?”
I nodded. “If it is not a bother.” Even though I had fed three days ago, I still felt ravenous as I pictured sinking my teeth into Felix.
“No bother at all,” Felix hurried to say, scrambling to stand while saying so. As he stood, I could smell the intoxicating scent of his arousal along with his blood. I groaned, unable to stop myself, and it only made Felix’s arousal heighten.
“I um,” Joel began, clearly sensing the tension in the room. “I have some shopping to do!” Passing us both, he hurried out the door. I was glad when I did not smell arousal or fear from him. That would only have made things awkward.
Felix and I were alone now, and I very much felt like the predator that I was. I closed in on Felix, knowing this was inappropriate, but found myself unable to stop. His eyes were wide, his scent alluring and so potent with arousal. I only stopped my approach when I had Felix caged against the kitchen wall, moving an inch closer, I trailed my nose along his neck as I sniffed him. He moaned in response, his sweet scent of arousal filling the room, making me hard instantly. I had never felt this out of control before. This…vampiric.
“Severin,” he whispered, his tone husky and needy as he bared his throat to me.
I growled, feeling my fangs lengthen at the sight of his vein pulsing with his delicious blood. I did not wait. With another growl, I bit into his skin, piercing it like it was nothing. His blood filled my mouth and I swallowed eagerly. It was the best blood I had ever tasted. Rich. Sweet. Decadent. But to my surprise, I felt something was missing. Before I could retract my fangs, a burst of knowledge, ofknowing, hit me.
Felix was my fated.
Chapter 7
Felix
I was floating. There was no other way to describe it. Severin’s bite had been… pleasant. No, that wasn’t quite the right word for how mind blowing it had been. I felt like my nerves had an orgasm. My body still tingled from pleasure as he removed his fangs. I let my eyes meet his and saw the usual blue irises were taken over by a deep red, but in those red eyes I saw so much.
“Mine,” Severin growled, holding onto my waist possessively. I’d never experienced this before with my other masters. Granted they never fed from my neck before either, it was normally done from the wrist. But Severin had been different from the others since the first time I saw him. I liked that he’d bit my neck. I had wanted him to.
“Yours,” I agreed, figuring his vampiric senses had taken over and he now saw me as a sort of possession. I didn’t have much experience dealing with an out-of-control vampire, but I figured going along with whatever he needed seemed in my best interest.
My vision started to blur suddenly. Had he taken too much blood? I blinked, trying in vain to clear my vision, but I failed. Then I felt my body slumping beforeeverything turned dark.
“No!” Severin yelled, making me flinch awake. I tried to recall what had happened to me. I could feel the worst headache ever, and my body felt exhausted.
“This is not normal! Even you should know that!” That voice was Peter’s. Why was I asleep in a room with those two? I tried opening my eyes, but they were too heavy.
“I felt it! He is mine!”
Peter groaned. It sounded exasperated and I could hear him pacing the floor, or maybe that was Severin? “Fated matings end in mutual orgasms, brother. Not with one fainting!”
“I do not know why he fainted, Peter! But I am telling you. He. Is. Mine!”
Okay this was getting way too weird.
I tried moving my body, somehow telling them I was awake. But it hurt and I groaned out in pain instead.
Wind flew around my face, likely from Severin running to my side at the speed of light. “My heart, are you well?”
“What?” I slurred. Did he just call me his heart?
“How are you feeling?” Peter asked me.
I decided to ignore the weird way Severin was acting and answered with another slurred reply, “Horrible.”
Severin whimpered, like my agony was somehow his to bear.
The sound of the door banging open reached me and then a female voice spoke. “Here! Move your asses!” I felt them move around me and then something prodded my lips. “Drink this, hon. It will help.” I did just that, trusting the kind voice I believed to be Dina’s. “That’s it. You’re doing so well.”
