“Naked breakfast?”

He chuckled.“I wouldn’t say no to that.”

“What time do you get up?”

“Early.I turn on the light in the kitchen when I get up.”He pointed to the window facing Ashlyn’s house, facing where we were seated.“If that light is on, I’m awake.”

“And ready for breakfast?”

He leaned over and kissed me again, lingering against my lips.“As long as I get to have you for breakfast again.”

“I think that could be arranged.”

He growled, capturing my neck with his hand and holding me in place while he ravaged my mouth.

My pulse skyrocketed, and my core clenched in anticipation of the morning.Twenty-four hours and I was already looking forward to it.

“I’m really happy you were on my dock that morning.”

I laughed.“Me, too.Although I could have gone without the accusation of not belonging here.”

He leaned back, taking my hand and weaving his fingers through mine.“I hope you know I don’t mean that now.I thought you were trespassing.I am sorry for the things I said.”

“I know. And thank you for saying that.It was not my best birthday.”

“That was your birthday?”he blurted.

“Uh, technically, no.My birthday was the day before.”

“And you woke up the next day to me yelling at you.Shit, I’m sorry, Reegan.”

“It’s all better now.”

He squeezed my hand.“I hope so.Thank you for giving me another chance.”

“You didn’t give me much of a choice. You plied me with coffee and orgasms.”

He barked a laugh.“I guess the way to your heart is through your pants?”

I shrugged.“It definitely doesn’t hurt to start there.”

He laughed, then leaned across and kissed me again.“I need to get a few things done today, but tomorrow morning, you’re mine.”

“Looking forward to it.”I finished my coffee and handed him the mug back, then watched his ass as he walked back to his house.

It was a really good ass.

Naked breakfaston Sunday was my favorite time of the week.Reegan made me feel like I wasn’t quite as old as I was.She made me laugh, and she made me happy. And it wasn’t all about sex, like I told her. Most mornings, we sat outside and enjoyed the early morning quiet together before I had to go to work.

Reegan still hadn’t told Ashlyn about us, but she was doing that today.I didn’t ask why she hadn’t told her all week.It was up to her to do what she felt was right for their friendship. But I was looking forward to not having to hide anymore. The three of us were going out on my boat tomorrow, then Reegan was spending the night with me.

I wanted her in my bed sooner, to wake up with her next to me, but I could be patient.Mostly.

Reegan’s car was next door, but Ashlyn’s wasn’t.I debated going over and saying hello to Reegan, but I was disgusting from my day.I’d been rebuilding a motor all day and couldn’t seem to get clean no matter how many times I washed my hands.I stripped as soon as I walked into my house, thankful Evie was with Hannah for the weekend, and tossed my clothes into the utility sink in the laundry room, then walked through the house naked, needing a long, hot shower and a beer.
