Suddenly a huge sting lands on my left cheek and my head turns sideways from the force.
Did she just slap me?
I blink in confusion, looking back at her, her face still red with anger but there’s also a hint of fear now.
Good. As it should.
I just stare at her, waiting for what else she has. But another sting, even bigger this time, lands on the same cheek as before and this time my head rotates completely to the side. I close my eyes as the pain travels from my cheek down my spine to my stomach and settles in my lap, my cock twitching.
Great.
I think I’m getting hard.
I slowly inhale and open my eyes just in time to catch another slap, this time stopping it just before it hits by catching her wrist. She doesn’t hesitate even for a millisecond and shoots out the other hand. I catch it too.
She still has her fire. I loved that.
Right before she manages to drive her knee up to kick my balls, I rotate her, with her wrists in my hands now crossed on her chest and her body pressed to mine.
She keeps fighting but doesn’t stand a chance. I lean my head down to her hair, finally smelling it again, goosebumps breaking through my skin.
And as we end up in this position, just as a few days ago, my body remembers her before I allow it to.
“You were alive all this time and didn’t think of giving me a call?” she snaps through her gritted teeth, her voice cracked with tears.
“Back then, you looked at me like I was already dead,” I say quietly. “So I let you believe it.”
I quickly push her away so she doesn’t have time to sense how painfully hard I am.
She stumbles and catches the edge of the table to stabilize herself and before she can turn around, I’m gone.
I close the door behind me, count one beat as she bangs, number two as she screams. I breathe, reset, and leave.

Age 18
I straighten my tie in the sun visor mirror just as Sylvia finally reaches the car. She wants me as her companion at another business meeting. Nothing shady this time, just an investment.
At least I think so.
The driver drops us off in front of the Sunrise Hotel, one of the best in the city.
We head inside and take the elevator to the fifth floor, where the hostess seats us at a table with a view of the skyline.
I have to fight a smile the whole time so Sylvia doesn’t realize I have something to smile about. Last night with Kiara is still wired into my system.
We sit down and order drinks while waiting for our partners to arrive.
“Where were you last night?” she asks lightly, like this is family time. But my throat tightens.
Why does she care? Is she fucking watching me?
“I told you dating is out of the question, Kasien. There’s no time for that,” she adds, trying to sound motherly as she sips her drink.
Once again, I find myself daydreaming about grabbing her neck and breaking it.
“I went to the Velvet club. Not that it’s any of your business,” I say, already looking down at the menu so she can’t push further.
