I stepped out again, wearing a soft lavender babydoll this time, sheer enough that the outline of my body showed through the fabric.

Melanie clutched her chest. “You are literally the perfect client for this store.”

I giggled, spinning to make the babydoll flair up just a bit.

Greyson didn’t laugh.

He just watched me like he was mentally calculating how quickly he could get me home.

Which honestly made the whole thing even more fun.

Staying quiet and still while Grey was on that call had beensoworth it.

When we were finally done, Melanie gathered everything carefully and began carrying the hangers toward the counter.

I ducked back into the dressing room to change.

But before I could pull my clothes fully back on, Greyson’s voice came from outside the curtain. “Lane.”

“Yes?”

A pause.

“Pick one of the sets.”

I blinked. “One of them? For?”

“To wear out.”

My stomach did a little flip.

I poked my head out of the curtain slightly. “Really?”

Greyson was standing now, leaning one shoulder against the wall beside the bench. His eyes flicked down my mostly-dressed body, then back up.

“Yes.”

Melanie froze halfway through folding a camisole at the counter. “Oh—” she said quickly, composing herself. “Yes, ofcourse! Lots of customers wear their purchases out. That’s… totally normal.” Her tone suggested she was trying very hard not to imagine the implications.

I bit my lip, trying not to grin. “Okay,” I said, ducking back behind the curtain.

I chose the blush lace set.

A minute later, I stepped back out fully dressed again, but underneath, I could feel the delicate lace hugging my body.

Greyson’s eyes scanned me slowly. A small, satisfied smile appeared.

Checkout took a while.

Partly because there were so many pieces.

Partly because Melanie insisted on carefully folding everything in tissue paper like they were priceless artifacts.

By the time she finished bagging everything, the counter was covered in glossy shopping bags.

“Well,” she said as she handed the receipt to Greyson, still looking slightly flustered but very pleased. “This was easily the most fun shift I’ve had in weeks.”

“I’m glad,” Greyson replied politely.
