“I choose you,” he says. “I choose you today, and I’ll continue to choose you every day for the rest of my life.” He looks around at all of us. “I choose our family over everything else, and I will protect it to my last breath.”

Fuck me.Linc might not talk that much, but he sure as shit knows how to make those words hit like a punch from Mike Tyson when he does.

“Linc,” Abby whimpers. She’s full-on crying now. He reaches for her hand.

“I know,” he whispers. Linc’s eyes turn to Kane. Abby and I follow suit.

His eyes are already glossy with emotion. “Before I promise anything, I have to say thank you. Thank you for being my best friends and my brothers,” he says to Linc and me. “Thank you for dropping everything to move here with Oliver and me. Thank you for loving my son like he was your own.”

I can’t keep the tears in anymore. They fall from my eyes as I blink to keep Kane in focus. Linc has Abby pulled into his side as she cries.

Kane looks at Abby. “Thank you for raising the little boy who helped to break Oliver out of his shell.”

The tears are freely falling down Kane’s face as he continues. If anyone walks by and sees us right now, they’re going to think someone died.

“You might be the best thing that has ever happened to me, but Maverick is the best thing to ever happen to Oliver. I know you came into our lives not just for us,” he says, pointing around the circle, “but for Oliver, too.”

“They needed each other,” Abby says through her tears.

Kane nods, taking a deep breath and trying to pull himself back together. He shivers, clearly feeling the cold without his coat on.

“I promise to be at your side through everything life will throw our way. I’ll be there on the good days and the bad. None of us will ever have to go through anything alone again. We’re in this together.”

“Together,” Abby says, her voice barely a whisper.

Linc and I lock eyes, both remembering all the times it felt like we had only each other. Now, we have so much more. “Together.”

“That hurt like a bitch,” Abby groans, “but I love it.”

She peers down at the cellophane covering the band wrapping around her ring finger. It’s a thin line of weaving vines and flowers.

Her design was a lot more intricate than the rest of us, so she’s the last one to be done. The rest of us got simple black bands with her initial somewhere in the design.

“Let’s go home,” Kane says, wrapping his arms around her shoulders.

“Yes, let’s go because I want to make love with my husbands.”

CHAPTER FIFTY

Abby

We’re barelythrough the door before clothes are being stripped off as we tumble into the living room.

There’s no way we’re going to make it all the way upstairs. Our need for each other is burning like an inferno, and those extra steps are not going to happen.

Kane kisses me while I blindly fight with his belt buckle. I growl into the kiss in frustration that I can’t get the damn thing undone. With a groan, I drop to my knees in front of him.

Now that I can see what I’m doing, I make quick work of getting his belt undone and sliding his pants and underwear down his legs. He steps out of them, kicking them to the side.

My tongue darts out, swirling around his tip. He lets out a groan, sliding his fingers in my hair. “More,” he breathes out.

I oblige, taking the tip into my mouth and sucking. I press down, taking more of him in my mouth.

He slides over my tongue, tapping the back of my throat. He doesn’t press too hard, my gentle giant not wanting to push things too far.

I lean back, keeping my hand gripped around his length. I turn to look at Linc and Wyatt who are standing off to the side, both of them naked and leisurely stroking themselves as they watch us.

“Come here,” I say.
