“I had Miko give me samples. That boy was helpful. Too bad he wanted what he could never have.” He smiles as his hand reaches towards my cheek.

I flinch.

Alec’s thumb brushes my cheek gently for a second, and I see the old him, but the moment the words leave his mouth, the illusion is corrupted. “But you did so well taking care of him.” He laughs as he smacks my cheek gently. “I’m actually relieved to know that you weren’t actually fucking your brother, though, imagine that.”

Tears slowly trail down my face.

Kai isn’t really my brother. The words repeat over and over in my mind as I stare at the envelope in my shaking hand.

“Tokyo.” Xena’s voice pulls me from my thoughts; I look at the mirror and see the red lipstick streaking across my cheek just as our eyes clash in the mirror. It’s been a while since she spoke, not like she can anyway. Alec keeps her pretty doped up, and I hate that. I pull my gaze away from her; the haunted look on her face makes me sick to my stomach. But being able to escape is better than the hell Alec has subjected her to—forcing me to touch her. Forcing her to react to him. It must be hell for her, and even more so for Roman, who’s been receiving the videos Alec records.

She is still naked; her neck covered in bruises. “Tokyo.” Her voice breaks a little, and my heart sputters. I inhale deeply and force the mask to slip into place.

“Get ready, Xena.” My voice comes out colder than I wanted, and I don’t bother to look back as I push away from the vanity in the room and walk towards the closet, grabbing the matching doll costumes and LED masks left for us.

“Why?” she asks again. It seems like that’s the only word, besides my name, she knows how to say when the fog of the drugs begins to lift. My heart sinks as I walk to the small pouch that contains the drugs. It’s better this way.

Or maybe I try to lie to myself to make it better. “Tokyo, please,” she begs as I pull the syringe from the pouch. My lip quivers as I bite it down.‘I’m sorry,’I want to say, but instead I look up and see the blinking red dot.

“Please.” Her pleas fall on deaf ears as I walk towards her broken body and grab her arm, forcing the needle into her arm and pushing the contents.

“He’s gonna kill you,” she breathes just as the last of the amber liquid invades her vein. A weak smile spreads across my lips as I caress her face, inching closer.

“I know he will, but this keeps Kai alive. I’m sorry,” I whisper against her lips before straddling her legs and devouring her mouth.

She moans into my mouth. My hands dig into her onyx strands as my tongue swipes her bottom lip. She’s sluggish, but still responds to me, and I hate it. But this is what he wants—this is how he tortures Roman. I'd rather it be me than it be him. He doesn’t deserve shit. Not that I do, but at least I make her feel good. My hands move down her flat stomach and between her legs. Her pussy is soaked, but not from her arousal—the mess Alec left earlier today. She sighs against my lips just as the warmth of her tears reaches my fingertips.

My fingers curl inside her.

Slow and deliberate.

Her body arching into mine, hips mechanically move, riding my hand—desperate to feel anything other than the violation we have put her through.

“I hate,” she breathes, her eyes flutter open as her walls tighten around my fingers. “You.”

And like always, her words bring tears to my eyes and that bitter taste on my tongue. Once I get what Alec wants—to humiliate her—I pull away, letting her body slump back onto the bed. I gave her just enough to mellow her, enough that she will be useful by the time Fright Night starts. We only have one shot.

One fucking shot.

Grabbing the torn grey dress, I slip it on. The dress sits high on my thighs, high enough that I’m sure you could see between my legs without having to put forth too much effort. My tits press together from the corset-like waist band of the dress, and the lace between them is bloodied, and I wonder for a second if it’s real.

I look in the mirror and see the hollowness in me… the void swallowing me whole, leaving nothing for Kai. Grabbing the matching dress, I walk towards Xena to help her get dressed. I clean the mess between her legs before slipping on the knee-high, stained white socks and Mary Jane shoes. I rise to my feet once the job is done and grab the black wig that matches Xena’s hair and place it on just as Alec steps into the room. Dressed in all black, he wears a bright orange neon mask on top of his head.

“You don’t look like you're in costume?” He smiles briefly, ignoring my comment as he walks over to me and grabs my chin.

“I don’t need one when I’m the real terror,” he replies with a wink before he kisses my lips with a tenderness that makes me remember an Alec that no longer exists. My hands flatten out on his chest, trying to push him away, but his tongue invades my mouth, and with that, a pill is dispensed and forced down my throat.

“Good girl,” he purrs against my lips before licking up the corner of them and pulling away. Alec walks towards Xena and kicks her legs. “Man, she’s a mess. I wonder what my brothers saw in her?” The question is rhetorical—I don’t bother to look ashe plays with her pussy before lifting her into his arms. “Let’s go, T. Fright Night waits for us.”

Chapter Twelve

Roman

The bass from the music rattles through the car. Kai sits beside me, smoking a joint while Mr. Clean continues to bitch and moan about my violent streaks. My grip tightens around the leather steering wheel as I park far enough away from the abandoned farm, home of Fright Night, as the partygoers remain in the empty cornfields, the green and orange strobe lights dancing across the sky. Smoke curls around the area—changing from grey to green.

Metal songs that merge with electronic music blare through the fields. The area is far enough from civilization, and the fields are full of cars and people as they move to enter the large, abandoned farmhouse.

“I think we have to go in through the maze?” Chino says as he points to the group of partygoers dressed in slutty Halloween costumes. “And just like Heartless, no phones.”
