My path moves to his jaw, and I revel in the feel of his stubble scraping over my lips. It’s a new sensation, but it’s quickly addicting, as are all things Camden Steele. And as he pulls my mouth back to his, stealing another kiss, there’s no doubt in my mind that I’d do anything to make sure I never have to live without this.

Withouthim.

“You really like the beard, huh?” he asks, laughing after I break the kiss to nip at his jaw some more.

“No. Iloveit.” I straighten and meet his gaze before whispering, “I loveyou, Cam. Everything about you.”

“I could say the same thing about you. So I mean it, okay? Move in. As soon as you want.”

I nod, feeling so much gratitude and excitement swelling in my chest.

This semester has been rather lonely anyway, what with Lexi and Willow both having graduated and Bailey finishing his degree in Norway. I hardly know any of my new roommates, but then again, none of them could ever compare to the one I’m currently looking at. Yes, the drive to campus every day will be an annoyance, but it’ll be worth it, getting to spend every night under the same roof with Cam again. Or, almost every night; when he doesn’t have tedious stints of away games.

“C’mon. Let’s feed you,” he murmurs, patting me on the ass.

After stealing a pair of his sweatpants, the two of us make our way to the kitchen, where we decide on eggs and bacon for our midnight snack after rummaging through the fridge. Despite my protest, he insists on doing the cooking, leaving me to sit on the countertop to watch.

“At least this place will be a lot more homey once you’re here,” he states, glancing over at me.

“Yeah, I wasn’t gonna say anything…but where’s all your stuff?”

He laughs as he steps between my legs, letting his forehead fall to mine. “I have the essentials, all right? Bed, couch, flatscreen. And now my man.”

I pull back, unable to hide my amusement. “You’re such a sap sometimes.”

“Oh, absolutely. But at least me being a sap means we get to make this placeours, not just mine, right?” My heart swells as I nod, and he smiles. “Good, because I have an extra bedroom that can be your office.”

“Apparently we didn’t make it that far on the tour,” I tease.

“Well, there’s nothing in there, so unless you want to fuck on the floor or against the wall…” He trails off, only to start laughing when he catches the devilish smirk on my lips.

“Hey, it wouldn’t be the first time we had sex on the floor,” I muse, holding my hands up. “But it could be more fun to wait ‘til there’s a desk in there.”

“You crazy little nympho.”

“Yourlittle nympho. And only crazy for you.”

He grins as he squeezes my thighs with his palms. “Exactly the way I like it.”

I grin at him, the wordsdamn straightsitting on my tongue, when my eye catches on something on the floor, peeking out from behind the island. My sketchbook, I realize—the one I gavehim earlier tonight. I’d noticed it was on the counter when I got here, but I must’ve knocked it off in the midst of our sexcapades.

Hopping down, I grab it from where it fell and set it back on the island, but before I can close the cover, a warm, firm torso meets my back. Cam presses a gentle kiss to my temple before reaching around me, flipping through a few of the pages before closing it himself.

“I read this on the plane ride home, you know.”

“And?”

“I really liked it. The art of course, but the story too,” he murmurs. “I’m thinking we should frame the final version in your new office once it’s out.”

I snort and roll my eyes. “Let’s not get carried away.”

“Oh, believe me, I’m not. Getting carried away would be blowing all these up and turning them into our living room wallpaper.”

Okay, fair enough.

My lips twitch, picturing coming home to that scene, only to think of some art inside this sketchbook I actuallywouldn’tmind having on display somewhere in here.

“Did you happen to flip to the back cover?”
