“Shit, lil’ sis. That’s a good thing. He’s a good man, and I know you care for him. Why does that have you all upset?”

“It’s complicated.” I glance up, looking past him, to the other man who’s part of the situation I’m in.

It's at that moment Luke looks over and sees me, giving me a smile that has my heart soaring.Fuck me.

Chapter 2

Wenevergottofinish our conversation. Stone came over to get Luca and start his tattoo, while I sat and watched in awe at his talent. Stone is a quiet man, not speaking unless he asks a question or is answering one of ours. I actually kind of like not having the pressure to make chit-chat, and for a fleeting moment wished he was tattooing me instead.

"They're goin' to look good when they're done." Stone's gravelly voice fills the air.

He must have caught me looking back and forth between my copy of the design and the one he is currently inking on Luca's arm.

They truly are amazing. Mine is an old skeleton key with 'My Brother's Keeper’ inside of it. Luca's is an arrow with a feather on the end, with'My Sister's Protector'writteninside of it.

"Thank you," both Luca and I respond in unison. I can’t help but laugh. The credit all goes to Luca; he designed it. He’s so good he should do custom art pieces for people to get tattooed.

"You're welcome," Stone replies as he adds some more ink to his needle before going back to work. Guess he's done talking for the moment since he’s back to his stoic self.

Reaching in my bag, I pull out the book Ash let me borrow. She raved about it, so I thought I'd read it too. It's a whole series told from different people's points of view about their high school reunion.

Currently, I'm reading one about a guy who was a nerd and became a millionaire from being a porn star. Thankfully, I'm not on a sex scene, because that would be awkward in public. Especially with my brother sitting right beside me.

I'm so caught up in the story that when I feel hands come down on my shoulders, I jump and scream, almost falling out of my chair.

"Whoa, baby, it's just me." Luke’s rich, deep voice washes over me. I can’t help but see Luca’s dark chocolate eyes cut in my direction, a questioning look on his face. I just shake my head. Now is not the time for this conversation.

"Sorry." I laugh, my face heating with embarrassment.

"Must be something good. You didn't even hear me call your name." God, those dimples of his send butterflies fluttering through my stomach every time he smiles.

"Yeah, guess I got a little lost in the story." I stash the book quickly, thankful the cover isn't some half-dressed man looking like that model that graced the covers of the romance books my mother used to read.

His eyes go wide, and fuck if they don't have a wicked gleam in them. "Ahh, I know that book. Wait until the next one in the series."

My eyes go wide. He fucking knows about them!Fuck me!

"How do you know?"

"Ryker. He was readin' it with Ash. So, I picked up a copy when he said it was good. I mean come on, if Ryker liked it, then it must be good. That boy doesn't even read directions."

I just nod my head, dropping the subject. "Ready for me?"

"Sure am, babe. I got us a place set up in the back." He takes a step back, extending his arm out, gesturing me forward.

In the back. Alone. Maybe I can broach the topic with him. See if he wants more and if he can share.

I've only taken a couple of steps when I feel his hand on my back, moving lower, dangerously close to my ass. Man, he's brave, especially with my brother here.

Once we’re in the room he shuts the door behind us, and then I’m in his arms. He spins me around so I’m facing him and tilts my head back so I can look at him. His long dirty blonde hair is pulled back off his face into a man bun, as he looks at me with his beautiful brown eyes.

“I’ve missed you,” he whispers before taking my mouth with his, kissing me deeply. “Hank’s been keeping you busy, taking care of him.” My stomach churns. Already I’m thinking my idea of them sharing me is ‌doomed.

“More like life,” I say awkwardly. “I’m here now, though.”

“Yes you are. Let’s get this tattoo done, and then we’ll talk about how I can get you back at my place tonight.” He releases his hold and I step back from him, already missing his touch.
